A 20-minute drive from London Stansted Airport; 45 minutes from London
Off grid site with well-equipped bell tents

Set on a family-run, working farm in rural Essex, Dairymeade Farm Glamping has a peaceful location and more than a touch of luxury. It’s a small place, which means no crowded, noisy pitches and plenty of space to relax. Every pitch has a firepit and barbecue, and all bedding, cutlery and crockery is included so you don’t need to lug yours from home. The bell tents easily sleep up to four people in a double bed and two singles – and they’re all proper beds with proper mattresses for a proper night’s sleep. The site owners pride themselves on being as eco-friendly as possible, and they’re pleased to be totally off grid – make a note here – that means no electricity or wifi, so you can completely switch off from the stresses of modern life. Another couple of things: this is a handy stopover if you have an early flight, as London Stansted Airport is only 10 minutes’ drive away.

Bookings must not be for more than 7 consecutive nights.
No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.
Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.
At least one of the party members must be aged 25 or over.
If making a fire, the fuel, logs and coal have to be purchased on site.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.
Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
No gas barbecues allowed.
No electric barbecues allowed.
Swimming in the lake is not allowed.

Bell tent (no pets)

Liked: The site was lovely, the tents are spacious and a large gap between the three tents means you aren't close to other campers. The whole experience was so well thought out, the tent is immaculate, beds are comfy too. The shower & composting toilet were very clean and the bonus of everything being provided including cooking facilities, plates, cups etc is so helpful. We did bring our own cooker as we didn’t want to have to wait for fellow campers to make our morning cuppa. The site is lovely for a stroll, and we were made very welcome by the host.

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
At least one of the party members must be aged 25 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
The site will send you further check-in information 3 day(s) before your arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 28 day(s) of arrival.

Extras

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Bookings must not be for more than 7 consecutive nights.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
