Your very own field in 28 acres of the Essex countryside – that's what awaits at Dairymeade Farm Glamping. Set on a family-run, working farm, this single bell tent has a peaceful, private location and more than a touch of luxury. There are no crowded, noisy pitches here, just plenty of space to relax and lots of wildlife. The bell tent comes with a firepit and barbecue, helping you spend the maximum amount of time outdoors. All bedding, cutlery and crockery are included, so you don’t need to lug yours from home. The bell tent sleeps up to four people in a double bed and two singles – and they’re all proper beds with proper mattresses too. The owners pride themselves on being as eco-friendly as possible, and they’re pleased to be totally off-grid. Make a note here – that means no electricity or wifi, so you can completely switch off from the stresses of modern life. Another couple of things: this is a handy stopover if you have an early flight, as London Stansted Airport is only 10 minutes’ drive away.

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.
At least one of the party members must be aged 25 or over.
If making a fire, the fuel, logs and coal have to be purchased on site.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
No naked flames are allowed inside the hired accommodation units.
Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
No gas barbecues allowed.
No electric barbecues allowed.
Swimming in the lake is not allowed.

Bell tent (no pets)

Liked: The site was lovely, the tents are spacious and a large gap between the three tents means you aren't close to other campers. The whole experience was so well thought out, the tent is immaculate, beds are comfy too. The shower & composting toilet were very clean and the bonus of everything being provided including cooking facilities, plates, cups etc is so helpful. We did bring our own cooker as we didn’t want to have to wait for fellow campers to make our morning cuppa. The site is lovely for a stroll, and we were made very welcome by the host.
