These classic caravans may have wheels, but it's very unlikely you’d want to move them from this gorgeous spot in the Anjou countryside. Les Roulottes du Moulin de Palet is on seven acres of land on the banks of the Couasnon river, and each caravan is in its own private space that’s not overlooked by any neighbours. Well, that’s neighbours of the human variety, anyway… because you will be sharing the site with the resident horses, some of whom may well stop by to say hello from time to time. But other than that, you’ll simply be able to put your feet up and relax in peace in your own private space, which has outdoor seating and a barbecue to help you make the most of your time in the fresh air. These caravans are cosy little places to stay, with bedding and heating provided and breakfast included in the price of your stay. You’ll have access to a good cluster of handy shared facilities nearby, including a swimming pool (with sun loungers), a well-equipped communal kitchen and bathroom facilities. The site's location, five minutes' drive from Baugé-en-Anjou, is a convenient one for exploring the Pays de Loire – the banks of the river are about 15 minutes' drive away for walks, bike rides and canoe outings, and there are lots of wineries, châteaux and interesting towns and cities (such as Angers and Saumur) to explore nearby.

Local attractions

Some of the Loire Valley's finest attractions are within easy reach here – including the grand buildings at Manoir de Clairefontaine (10 minutes’ drive) and Château de Brissac (35 minutes) and the much less fancy (but still fascinating) cave homes of the Troglodytes et sarcophages site (40 minutes). Two of the area’s towns stand out as excellent places to visit. Firstly Saumur, for tours of the château, Musée des Blindes and Le Cadre Noir; and also Angers, with another lovely château and several museums. Both are about half an hour's drive and also have good wine tasting venues. If you've packed your clubs, a game at Golf de Bauge (10 minutes) might be on the cards. Meanwhile, if it's a family holiday you might prefer to look towards the likes of the treetop trails at Parcours Aventure 49 (10 minutes), the animals of Zoo de la Flèche (25 minutes) and the playful plant-themed attractions of Terra Botanica (half an hour).

At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 2 day(s) of arrival.

General

Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
Public areas are non-smoking.
Quiet hours must be respected between 11:30 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
