Like many other wordy pedants, we think the French region of the Centre is rather unimaginatively named. Here, after all, is the most visited part of the very much visited Loire Valley, home of royalty for centuries and crammed with princely châteaux to show it. Et 24 AOC areas producing very fine wine indeed, all of which can be tasted on weaving Loire Valley vineyard tours. Et plenty more to do when camping in the Centre: France’s biggest wildlife collection, comprising of over four and a half thousand critters, is at ZooParc de Beauval, Les Bordes golf course in the Sologne is said to be the best in all of la France and one of the top rated in Europe, and the region has lots of large lush gardens as well as the les jardins des châteaux. We think a name change is in order.
Bring your own accommodation or rent something static at a Centre campsite to drink all this in and add a bit more: browse the park list below to find a place to stay in Centre, and to find out more on what to do around each one.
