Looking to tour some spectacular Loire Valley châteaux? A stay at Touraine’s Camping la Mignardière, 15 minutes’ drive from Tours, puts you within 35 minutes of exquisite Chenonceau and offers a calm and friendly holiday environment for all the family. It’s easy to keep the whole family entertained. The campsite has an aquatic complex with indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools as well as a paddling pool with a waterslide for younger kids. They also have a shaded play area with an inflatable bouncy castle to leap around on. Meantime, parents get to relax in the bar or let off steam on the sports fields (football, volleyball, table tennis and pétanque are all available). You can also hire bikes from reception to explore the region. Facilities to make life a breeze on site also include a licensed bar and takeaway service (July and August school holidays only) as well as a laundrette.

Liked Friendly, helpful staff.
Reasonably well-stocked shop.
Quiet location (off-season) - close enough to cycle into Tours, and to nearest supermarket.
Clean facilities, stocked with soap and loo paper.
Excellent location for bike rides.

Disliked Grey waste drain on the pitch was blocked.
Wi-fi wasn't great.

Liked Freundlichkeit, Hilfsbereitschaft, man spricht auch Deutsch (ist für uns ältere Leutchen schon recht bequem), Sauberkeit. Dass es unter allen Campern aller Nationalitäten immer mal Schweine gibt, die nicht wissen, wie man eine sanitäre Einrichtung verlässt, dafür kann kein Campingplatzbetreiber.

Disliked Die Schließzeit über Mittag ist recht lang. Da wird das Warten vor der geschlossenen Schranke, gerade in diesem Sommer bei 37 Grad und mehr, schnell zur Herausforderung. Gerade bei langen Etappen lässt sich die Ankunftszeit halt nicht so genau kalkulieren.

Liked The pitch was huge with well needed shade.
The pool area was lovely with plenty of seats.
The snack bar was good.

Disliked The toilets and showers were ok but not as good as many sites we've stayed at in France.

Liked Prima als doorreis camping.
Goed zwembad.

Disliked Let op de camping gaat pas open vanaf 15:00. Personeel zal niet echt moeite doen om je te helpen. Eet gelegenheid aan de overkant worden alleen maar frannsen toe gelaten. Pizza's en hamburgers bleken op te zijn.

Liked The size of our pitch was great and had shade.

Disliked - Toilet facilities were inadequate for the size of the site considering it was shared for every gender. 2 Blocks with less than 7 toilets and 8 showers in each, hence queuing! Always running out of toilet paper and hand paper towels. Hand paper towel bins too small so always over flowing. weren’t kept clean!
- Sunday evening - the entertainment was so loud and kept going until 23:45pm despite cut off (so say) 23:00!! We had to get up the next morning to leave at 7pm for an 8 hour drive! Our pitch was well away from this but sound travels. I felt sorry for children with small children.
- Rubbish/ recycle bins completely over flowing and not emptied. Health and safety issue!

Liked Pools were great. Pizza was good.

Disliked We have our tent size (8 man tent) when booking but were given a pitch that was too small. They suggested a second pitch that was also too small and then given a ‘not my problem’ shoulder shrug by the manager. Took 3 pitches before we were allocated one that was big enough. I’d normally say this sort of this is an isolated incident, but that was another lady in reception having the exact same problem as the same time as us. Note to the site: read the unit dimensions that customers submit when allocating pitches - it’s not a dark art.

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
