General

Housedean Farm Campsite is within the South Downs National Park and directly on the South Downs Way. We are uniquely located for walkers of the South Downs because there is no need to deviate from the national trail at the end of the day. Some of the most popular spots on the Downs are within an easy walk (Ditchling Beacon, Firle Beacon, Devil's Dyke).

We pride ourselves on a laid back atmosphere and there are amazing views of the South Downs from every pitch. There are 23 spacious pitches, each with its own firepit for campfires.

A frequent bus service stops directly outside the campsite and runs to and from Brighton and Lewes. This makes the site great for those wishing to visit Brighton without the cost and difficulty of parking.

The site has excellent flushing loos (that we keep scrupulously clean!) and three hot showers in separate wooden enclosures (one of which is open air). There are also two washing-up sinks.

Soon after emerging from a tunnel of trees you will see a bridge crossing the main A27. Turn left immediately after the bridge and Housedean Farm is located just off the road on the right.

If travelling west on the A27, go past the Newmarket Inn and turn left off the A27 approximately half a mile (before the bridge over the road). Go over the bridge and follow signs to Housedean Farm.
