A five-minute drive to Hornsea; 25 minutes to Hull
Beach three minutes' walk away; dogs welcome on site

If you’re setting off to East Yorkshire in search of sea views… well, you’ve found them at Sea View Country Park. This site is just on the edge of the ancient hamlet of Mappleton, about five minutes’ drive south of Hornsea, and has views out over the North Sea coast. That location makes this family-run site a great spot for a bit of seaside relaxation – and there’s a beach about three minutes’ walk away too for those who’d like to get even closer. There's a car park by the beach and a concrete ramp leads down to the sands, so it’s accessible for less-mobile guests. Just past the beach entrance (about five minutes’ walk from the site) is a tea room serving home-cooked meals along with takeaway sandwiches for a picnic on the sands. As well as the beach just by the site, it’s not far to Hornsea, which has another lovely beach plus plenty of places to shop and eat (including an award-winning fish and chip shop). Elsewhere along the coast, you may like to visit other seaside towns like Bridlington, or look out for passing birds at RSPB Bempton Cliffs. Or, if you’re feeling particularly energetic, pick up the Pennine Trail which will take you all the way over west to the Irish Sea. Dogs and kids are welcome at this park, where facilities have been kept to the essentials to preserve a peaceful atmosphere. All of the spacious pitches have water and electrical connections, and there are modern shower and toilet blocks with baby changing facilities and disabled access.

Liked: Lovely clean & tidy site, with well maintained facilities. Spacious, level hard standing serviced pitches. Setting up was the simplest ever! Very peaceful at night. Convenient location for all the east coast beaches; Mappleton beach is just a 10 minute walk away and is brilliant for dogs. The beautiful town of Beverley is half an hour away. No Wifi, but decent mobile signal. Next door to a large farm, so there is some noise occasionally, but it did not bother us.

Liked: Site was outstanding exceptionally cleas staff friendly fully serviced pitches.. We were lucky enough to go when the site was celebrating its first birthday. The staff put on free food drink and entertainment for all guests.what a lovely gesture.. toilets spot on couldn't ask for anything more.

Disliked: Site states 3 min walk to beech. Maybe a 3min to cliff edge but more like a 10 min walk down main road to beach. Once on beach there was no where to get off if you only wanted a short walk. There was local shops or bars to walk to except one cafe near the beach which was closed on our first day. It ok if you like walking we walked the few miles in to Hornsea as the only place to get off the beach ideal for walking and beach great for dogs.

Liked: The site is very well layed out, the toilets were very clean. Site was clean and at night it was silent. The staff was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I definitely recommend for anyone. Fully serviced pitches were fantastic. We will be back ☺️

Liked: Very friendly staff! We loved that it was only a short walk from the beach and a short trip by bus into Hornsea. The grounds were immaculate and the facilities were too. The handcreams were a nice touch. Overall, a lovely site.

Disliked: Only two cubicles and two showers in the gent's which led to some queueing which isn't ideal when you're desperate and don't have those facilities in your campervan.

Start by heading up to Hornsea (five minutes’ drive) for a visit to the Hornsea Folk Museum, which has a Victorian farm kitchen, a dairy and a blacksmith’s shop, plus regular craft demonstrations (pottery, lace making and spinning among them). After that, you might like to take the kids to feed sheep and horses at the town’s Honeysuckle Farm or check out the creepy-crawlies at Bugtopia Hornsea Zoo. Or maybe it’s time for a peaceful picnic at Hornsea Mere, a popular spot for birdwatching, fishing and sailing. For a change of scenery, take a trip to Hull (25 minutes) to see all sorts of vintage transport displays at the free Streetlife Museum, where you can also ride an old tram through a reconstructed historic street, or learn about underwater life at The Deep aquarium. Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 2 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
