There’s just one place music fans want to be over August Bank Holiday every year and that’s Reading Festival. One of the best-known events of its kind in the UK, it’s where you’ll catch the latest indie and rock artists, as well as dance and hip-hop acts.
The event sells out most years, so it's a crowded place to be. To take a break from the buzz, sleep at one of the peaceful campsites near Reading Festival. There are chalets for hire in quiet country parks, placid pitches with views of the Chilterns, and calm options lining canals.
