Roll both things into one location at St. Peter’s Farm Campsite, surrounded by fabulous Oxfordshire countryside and yet a mere five minutes’ walk from the local pub in the village of North Moreton. That location brings lots of benefits – you’ll get the peaceful experience that comes from staying on a spacious and level field that’s part of a farm with horses and wildlife areas, but you’ll also be able to stroll up to the village for a meal, a drink or some time at the playground with the kids. There are plenty of good routes around for longer walks too, and the site is dog-friendly so your furry pal can join you. Looking to explore further afield? A bus service from the village runs to Didcot, or you can drive there in about 10 minutes. Wallingford is similarly about 10 minutes away, and both towns are handy sources of shops and places to eat. Oxford (25 minutes’ drive) is also easy to visit from here, and there are plenty of attractions around from the Didcot Railway Centre and Aston Martin Heritage Trust to the Iron Age hillfort at Wittenham Clumps. Pitches at this site are fairly simple but have access to ladies’ and gents’ toilets and showers, a chemical disposal point and a washing-up area, and you’ll be allowed to light campfires or barbecues. There’s a separate field that can be used by rallies and groups such as Duke of Edinburgh expeditions.

Liked Absolutely wonderful camp site. Can't wait to stay again.
The owner was lovely, we rang when we arrived as instructed and he talked us through the whole Camp site, the amenities and where to park. He said if we needed anything else to phone him back, which we didn't need to as he had given us a thorough talk through everything. He then popped round later to check we were ok, which was very thoughtful.
The camp itself had loads of open space it wasn't over crowded and it was lovely and flat.
It's a basic but very beautiful camp site. It has simple showers and porta loos, after reading the previous reviews it just makes me wonder... Do people remember what camping is? 😆 A loo was a luxury when I was a kid. They were clean, had toilet paper, water and soap. I genuinely don't know what people expect. So I will say, if you're coming for glamping, this isn't the site for you. If you want some beautiful walks, wildlife, views and peace and quiet, then this is definitely a good stop for you. Equally, if caravan storage is an issue for you, don't look at them as you go through the camp site, but don't panic, they aren't in the main camping area and they won't spoil your trip.
This camp site offers the ability to have a BBQ or a camp fire, don't forget to bring them with you!

Disliked Gutted we never made it up to the lovely pub around the corner. But there's always next time!

Liked Friendly staff - lovely, quiet, big pitches. Easy to find .
Great local pub and close to visit the Donkey Sanctuary.

Disliked Toilets and showers could do with an upgrade but were functional.

Liked Great value for money. We booked 30mins before arrival and it was super easy and welcoming. We could then camp anywhere in the field. We also went to the local pub for dinner which was great.

Disliked Only 2 showers for whole campsite

Liked The camp site was in a beautiful village.

Disliked We were very disappointed in the set up of the camp site, it lacked TLC. The toilets and showers were situated in container cabins.
The shower smelt musty and stale water was laying in the back and obviously hadn't been drained.

If you’re planning a full countryside experience, schedule in walks around places like the Wittenham Clumps (10 minutes’ drive), which has lovely Thames Valley views as you stroll through meadows and woodlands. The Ridgeway, Europe’s oldest highway, is also close by for scenic walks and bike rides. You’ll have seen horses on site, but for further animal sightings you can pay a visit to Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary (five minutes), or find more exotic species at The Living Rainforest (25 minutes).
