Liked This is our 3rd time staying here, Lovely campsite situated amongst the trees, really nice lake nearby with walks all around and through the forest. There are 2 children's playgrounds within a short walk and a field for ball games. The cafe next to the lake is also really good.
Overall a great site and plenty of walking & cycling routes nearby.
We will be staying again soon.

Liked The location, the setting was just so tranquil and so much privacy. From the cleaners to the office and the ground maintenance all was very good

Liked Nice woodland site (mostly). We hoped for shade!

Disliked We were put out in the open in campervan when 32 degrees when shady plots empty (we arrived out of hours so just took what they’d given us). So we struggled and van extremely hot (both in our 70s)

Noisy Leaf blower going most of the day on dry ground so creating dust .. seemed unnecessary and not relaxing.

As you arrived out of hours, we allocated the pitch reserved for your booking, but we completely understand that the shade would have made a significant difference in the 32°C heat. We can only apologise, sometimes requests from guests can be missed and we ensure to do better.

We're also sorry that the leaf blower disturbed your stay. Grounds maintenance is sometimes necessary to keep the site tidy, but we appreciate that the timing affected the peaceful atmosphere you were looking for, and we'll take your comments on board.

Thank you for your private feedback as well. We always encourage guests to let us know during their stay if there's anything we can do to improve their comfort, as we're always happy to help where possible. We hope you'll consider visiting us again.

Liked Lovely setting in the forrest.

Disliked We arrived on a Sunday and the office was not open and the emergency number wasn’t responding. Turns out the email with pitch and access code details landed up in the junk folder of my Gmail account.
Like so many other reviews the showers leave a lot to be desired. Extremely low water pressure and nowhere to put your clothes and shoes to stop them getting wet.

We do send pitch details and access codes before arrival via email & SMS, but unfortunately emails can sometimes end up in junk or spam folders, as happened in this case. We also apologise that our emergency phone wasn't available when you called and will be reviewing this to ensure we're easier to reach when the office is closed.

Thank you also for your comments regarding the shower facilities. We appreciate your feedback about the water pressure and the lack of shelving or hooks to keep clothes and shoes dry. This is something we're actively looking at as we continue to improve our facilities.

We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, particularly regarding the service you feel you received at reception. Friendly and helpful service is important to us, and we will share your comments with the team.

We also appreciate your feedback about the facilities for young children. While we do not currently have dedicated children's sanitary facilities, we understand that these amenities are important for many families and take your comments on board.

As for a playground, our website advises of the facilities available on our Holiday Park and that there is an adjacent Country Park (no affiliation to us) which provides these facilities less then a 10 minute walk away.

Regarding the grey water disposal, our disposal points are located at designated service areas to ensure they can be used safely and hygienically. We appreciate your feedback and understand that this may not have been as convenient as you had hoped.

We understand your concerns regarding the manhole and the sighting of rats. As a countryside park with a lake and surrounding wildlife, occasional pest activity can occur. However, we take this seriously and have an ongoing pest control programme in place to keep this to a minimum, with regular monitoring and preventative measures across the park.

We're also sorry to hear about your comments regarding Pitch 39. Your feedback has been noted and will be reviewed by our team as we continually assess our pitches and facilities to ensure they provide the best possible experience for our guests.
