Views, glorious views…the area surrounding St Audries Bay Holiday Club near Minehead is the setting for right Somerset sights: the park is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at the foot of the Quantock Hills, is on the Somerset coast steps from the beach and has views across the Bristol Channel to Wales. Bring your camera.
St Audries Bay has been family-owned and run since 1933 and has picked up a goodly handful of awards along the way, so it’s safe to assume they know what to lay on for campers of all ages whatever the weather: among the options on offer are tennis, boules, fishing, an adventure playground, pool with sauna, and games room with video games, snooker and pool tables.
Entertainment is laid on during July and August, and restaurant and bar meals, takeaways and tipples are available during these months in the Sundowner bar. Or head off site instead: once you’ve hiked the Quantock Hills, both Bridgwater and Taunton are on the M5 15 miles away and Exmoor National Park is nearby.
Pitches at St Audries Bay are spacious and level with electric hook-up and are a short distance away from the toilet and shower block with free washrooms.
