  • Quiet rural site between Tiverton and Exmoor National Park
  • 45 minutes' drive from beaches on the Devon coast
  • Well-equipped tents with private kitchen and bathroom facilities
You can certainly afford to travel light when staying at Bellbrook Meadow Glamping, as the people that run this lovely rural Devon site have provided much of what you’ll need for a splendidly comfy family break. Each of the glamping tents here has been kitted out with proper beds, a woodburner and full coir matting and rugs to keep everything nice and cosy. Outside, each one has outdoor furniture, a firepit and a barbecue (just the place for an excellent evening of stargazing in this dark-skies area, which is mercifully free of light pollution). The amenities are pretty sweet here too: next to the tent is a private hand-built larch pod that houses the bathroom (with hot water, shower and flushing toilet) and kitchen (with a fridge, hob and various kitchen kit including vintage crockery). If you'd like to eat out, the local pub is a mile and a half away, and is easily walkable from the site. For more pubs, fish and chips and shops, it's a 10-minute drive to the market town of Bampton. As well as being well equipped, this is a fabulously peaceful spot for a relaxing break – set in two acres of meadow accessed via a country lane, seven miles north of Tiverton, and with views over the surrounding hills. Sit quietly and you may spot some of the wildlife that often likes to stop by. Smart, peaceful… and eco-friendly too: the site prides itself on sustainable features such as a biomass boiler, solar panels and environmentally friendly cleaning products.

Willowherb bell tent (no pets)

Liked: Stayed here last weekend for 3 nights and could not fault the place! Owners were very friendly and welcoming and couldn’t help more when I asked for a bit of decoration for my partners birthday! If you are looking for somewhere chilled this is the place! Everything you could possibly need is provided for you, the standard of cleaning was fantastic. We only left the grounds to pop to the shop once! Our kids loved it especially having horses and pigs close by, they loved looking for the colours of the rainbow and all the entertainment books for kids play outside were fantastic. The whole weekend was perfect for us we didn’t want to go home, and will certainly be visiting again!

Willowherb bell tent (no pets)

Liked: The tent was fully equipped with everything you could need for a very comfortable stay including bedding and towels. The private kitchen and bathroom facilities were a fantastic addition and made our stay all the more peaceful. The site was lovely and quiet with only other families there, no large groups or rowdy teenagers. The fairy lights round the outside of the tent made it safe to navigate to the toilet at night, essential as I had a 6 year old with me. The subdued lighting provided inside was useful too as he doesn't like it if it's pitch black. All in all the perfect getaway for a relaxing few days.

From the manager: So glad you had the perfect getaway at Bellbrook Meadow and we were so excited to welcome our first Pitchup booking (most of our bookings come from elsewhere and we are lucky to have had 100% 5 star reviews since we opened in 2020). We hope to welcome lots more Glampers from Pitchup!
