Electric grass pitch (adults only)

Liked: An amazing site that caterers all types of travelers. (Motorhomes,Touring Caravan's,Tents). Lovely owners, were really welcoming on arrival and always happy to help! Very bubbly and polite people. A very friendly environment to be around! Very clean bathrooms always were kept clean and tidy! Showers were warm and you are given enough time when using the shower. The bar that was on site is lovely, very welcoming and an amazing view! The bar also had an indoor area and outdoor area. The bar also has live music on Saturdays. The views were absolutely stunning. Really recommend this place! And will be recommending to others. Overall a lovely and clean place to stay. We will be returning again.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch (adults only)

Liked: Beautiful views Honesty box with poo bags, fresh eggs & milk Toaster, kettle & microwave provided Nice size hard standing pitch with big grass area Nice hot showers Small quiet site Bus stop right outside

Disliked: Kids screaming & messing around in toilets both Friday & Saturday night No hot water to wash hands Men’s toilet ran out of toilet paper

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thanks for the review - yes one of the two toilets in the men's did run out of toilet paper until replaced as soon as we realised. You are correct, there is no hot water to wash hands. As for the kids screaming - these are our kids that come around to help with cleaning toilets and if their friends are visiting the bar then they also use the toilets. This is limited between 6 - 8pm. They were not screaming or messing around to the extent that it would have impacted your stay. You were in an adults only pitch but the site is kid friendly and we do have a public bar where customers (including kids also use the toilets). Please ensure you book a complete adults only site in future for your own enjoyment. As for your other poor scores - our hardstanding view side pitches are premium with uninterrupted views - we do believe they offer value for money. We do have grass pitches that are £10 cheaper per night but you chose a view side hardstanding premium pitch. If anything is unclean then again please inform us. In terms of wifi - this is not a feature we list on site. As per your 'likes' - we do not list that there is a honesty shop or kitchen area - there are surprise add ons when you arrive. We are a small, family run business and it would be helpful if you could inform us during your stay of any issues so that we can rectify them before you feel inclined to leave a bad review.

Disliked: More toilets and showers maybe

From the manager: Thanks for the review - we oversupply on the minimum requirement of showers/toilets for the site size but we do agree that we are not ideal for those who are completely reliant on our shared facilities.

Local attractions

While Laugharne’s visible from the park, it’s a 25-minute drive away around the estuary to this pretty village famed for its castle and poet Dylan Thomas’ writing shed. For more of the area's history, National Trust attractions further away – like the Roman-era Dolaucothi Gold Mines (an hour’s drive) and the handsome house and park at Dinefwr (50 minutes) – should also feature on your to-do list. Also inland are many adventures, including the mountain biking trails of Brechfa Forest (55 minutes); swing back to the seaside and cycle more sedately along the Millennium Coastal Path if thrill-seeking on two wheels sounds a little bit too much for your tastes. Of course, you’re also never far from the coast in this part of Wales… Pembrey Country Park’s miles and miles of sandy beach are a 45-minute drive away, and the shorelines of the Gower Peninsula and Pembrokeshire are also less than an hour away.
