  • Fully-equipped static caravan on the southern tip of Anglesey
  • Half an hour's drive from Beaumaris or Holy Island
  • A 15-minute walk to Newborough village centre or a nature reserve
Whether it’s peaceful wanders around nature reserves, gathering speed down quarry zipwires or sea zoos, castles and islands, you'll be in for a real adventure at Pen Llyn Holidays on the southern edge of Anglesey, 15 minutes' walk from Newborough village centre. The accommodation here is modern, spacious and well-equipped and set on a peaceful three-acre farm site that you'll share with a handful of friendly horses. Newborough's sandy beach is a five-minute drive away, as is Ynys Llanddwyn Nature Reserve and its two lighthouses. Newborough Warren Nature Reserve can be reached in about 15 minutes on foot… and once here, you’ll have forest trails, lakes and sand dunes to discover for yourself. Right in the middle of all those diverse island landscapes, this family-friendly farm welcomes dogs too, so feel free to bring your trusty companion along to join you on your holiday adventures. The accommodation at Pen Llyn Holidays comes with a well-equipped kitchen, but another real bonus of this place is that you're able to set up barbecues and cook out of doors when the weather is fine. With the nearest supermarket being 15 minutes' drive away in Llanfairpwll, you won’t struggle to find the necessary supplies. (There’s a restaurant and chippy in the village as well if you fancy a night off.)

2 bedroom static caravan

Liked: Lovely peaceful spot overlooking fields wirh horses and goats grazing. Very relaxing. Great for Niwborough Forest and Warren. Perfect spot for round walk to Llandwyn Island. Caravan well presented, clean and with good heating when it got a bit chilly in the evenings. Diolch Yn Fawr!

2 bedroom static caravan

Liked: A really cosy caravan. The central heating kept us warm, despite the chill outside and the caravan lacked for nothing in terms of convenience and comfort, even down to some freshly laid eggs from the farm hens. Such a small site insured privacy and easy access. A very rural site which meant the garden furniture would have been well used , if the weather had been warmer. The complete silence of the setting was very striking and the nearby Fish and Chip shop, in Newborough, was yummy. I would definitely recommend this caravan and site for holiday makers of all ages as there was plenty of space for children to play safely and the outside washing line would be a boon for those returning from the nearby beaches with wet costumes and kit..

Local attractions

What sort of adventure should you throw yourself into first? Tracking down the Anglesey Model Village, just a few minutes' walk from the site? Zip World Penrhyn Quarry (half an hour’s drive), where there’s go-karting or rides on a zipwire above the blue lake in the slate quarry? Holy Island (half an hour), where access to the island’s castle and ancient priory depends on the tide? If you’re the sort who’s interested in the history of places, Beaumaris Castle (half an hour) will be another worthy spot, with its impressive size and history. Otherwise, Anglesey Transport Museum (five minutes) has 1920s cars, bikes and other early vehicles on show. After a little more wildlife and nature to set your mind at ease? Check out what’s in the tanks at Anglesey Sea Zoo (10 minutes) or take a trip to Pili Palas Nature World (20 minutes) to take the kids through the meerkat tunnel or into the farmyard to meet the pigs, goats and other animals - there are playzones around this place too, so it's easy to make a full day out of it.
