What customers say
This spacious campsite is praised for its ample room and riverside location, ideal for activities like kayaking and paddleboarding. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful. Facilities, including showers and toilets, are generally noted as clean, though some reviews suggest they could benefit from more frequent cleaning or an update. The site's vastness allows for peaceful stays, even when busy, though some report noise from other campers. The Hop Farm itself is closed for refurbishment, which was a disappointment for some visitors expecting on-site attractions.

Allgemein guter Platz für Reisen nach London
Electric hardstanding and grass pitch

From the manager: Thank you for choosing to stay with us and that you used local transport and trains to visit places including London.
Sadly the UK does appear to be behind Europe, the USA and Canada in terms of camping.
We do not advertise as having a play park, the pub close by has a small play area for children. When the weather is good there are some lovely walks along the river path and through the fields. For those rainy days we have a few board games that guests are welcome to borrow if they do not have any of their own.
The wastewater is emptied into the chemical disposal sinks.
There is a laundry in the local village but not on site as many guests only stay for a few days.
Enjoy the remainder of your holiday in the UK.
Going again soon
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Lovely location just by the river, very quiet and chilled
Disliked Watch out for the bites (mosquitoes)

From the manager: Thank you for choosing to stay with us and sharing your photos.
Unfortunately being near the water and lovely weather will bring the mosquitoes out.
We look forward to welcoming you again.

Electric grass pitch
Liked The toilet and shower blocks were cleaned daily and always had toilet rolls etc.
The available walks/ rivers nearby which were handy for kayaking. The tire swings in the far fields were good for children to play on. Most people were friendly.
Disliked It was a little bit inconvenient having to put codes in to use the toilet facilities however is understandable. Some of the children on the camp site weren’t very respectful running right through our pitch winding my dog up and nearly knocking food out our hands however I know this isn’t necessarily the campsites fault. We had a rope swing 2 feet from our pitch (basically on our pitch) with rude children and being woke up at 6am by them using the swing did ruin it for us a bit as I constantly had to watch out and never had any peace until 9pm when their headlights died. They ruined the tree by pulling bark off and throwing it at our tents when we was not there.

From the manager: Thank you for choosing to stay here and that you will visit again despite some disrespectful people spoiling your stay.
The rope swings are put up by guests staying so they can be taken down.
We look forward to seeing you again.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked So much space to choose from. No need to pitch up directly next to others. Great value for money. We were swarmed by flying ants on our stay, but that can't be helped. Overall very pleased with our stay, and will definitely recommend and return

The flying ants are definitely annoying I believe they are not around for long but decided to come out in their hordes whilst you were trying to enjoy your stay.
We hope to see you again soon.
100% will be booking again! Clean facilities, large pitches, privacy!
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked The size of the fields are huge! Even though fairly busy, everyone was so spread out through each field you wouldn’t have known how busy it was at all. Very much a wild camp feel to it and brilliant facilities too!
Disliked Nothing to dislike in my opinion.
If you chose to pitch up in the furthest away fields, expect a bit of a walk to the toilets/showers/washing up area, other wise just drive.

Electric hardstanding and grass pitch
Liked Staff at reception very helpful.
Disliked Bit chaotic people seem to pitch anywhere although it’s numbered. Toilet ok showers plumbed wrong water goes under door so dirty shoes are cleaned and floor filthy door locks temperamental
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: I am sorry you did not enjoy your 1 night stay.
The electric hardstanding and grass pitches are as you say numbered, however some guests choose to use the grass area for caravans/tents and the hardstanding for their cars.
We will get the showers looked at, it could be that the one you used was temporarily blocked as no one else has mentioned any flooding. The doors will not open if the lock is turned the wrong way which is frustrating having to put the code in again.
A lovely peaceful weekend stay
Electric grass pitch
Liked Loved the venue and the close proximity to lovely walks and local village, The toilets were well maintained during our stay. Our pitch was nice and level with water available adjacent to the hook up, overall a nice stay.
Disliked People not sticking to speed limit and drivers not giving way to pedestrians at all times, other than that nothing to dislike.

I totally agree with your dislikes, perhaps the 5MPH signs and the hand out given when checking-in are not clear enough for some drivers.
