Tyckte inte om Large groups congregating at river access making it hard to get paddle boards past. Then at night they got drunk playing load music and shouting until 2:00am

Från föreståndaren: I am sorry that a few people spoilt your 1 night stay.
I asked them several times to keep the river access clear. This area is on the map to keep clear( which everyone gets when checking in)and we also point this out.
I will ask the manager for more signs to be put up and if possible to fence off all of the access points to the river.
We were out from 10pm until 1130pm patrolling the site and asking guests playing music to turn it off and to adhere to the quiet policy between 10pm and 8am. We do not come out again unless we are called on the mobile number which is printed on the front of everyone`s check-in cards and explain it is for any issues whilst staying on site out when checking in. No-one called us on the Saturday night you were here therefore we were unaware of the disturbance.

I had electric hookup and a shared water tap which was great but very expensive compared to the just camping option

The campsite was empty and they put two young families with kids next to me 😔🤬. Supposed to be no noise until 8 but the kids were up screaming and riding about at 6am!

Från föreståndaren: The electric pitches are between £8.50 and £10.00 more than the non-electric and it is a personal choice which type of pitch you want to book.
The washing up sinks are next to the disabled facilities at the back of the showers and toilets.
The electric field was full during your stay, we do not overcrowd this field, all hardstanding are used and the electric grass ones have had a few taken out due to the size of units these days.
There is a quiet policy between 10pm and 8am. If anyone has any issues(including noise) whilst staying they need to call us on the mobile number printed on the front of their check-in cards, this is pointed out when checking in. I expect due to the hot weather and light mornings the children were asleep early and up early.
As this is a family site it is not possible to separate adults only from families.

Ability to pitch where you like and spread out (avoiding the water sport areas)
Peaceful, the field we were in didn’t have many other campers and there so many fields you could probably still find a quiet spot during busy times
I’d read reviews of people driving recklessly and other anti-social behaviour but we did not experience that at all
Seafood stall next door to the site was a great bonus
There was also a donut stall and Brewers Fayre next door too.
There was a pizza fan on the Friday and Saturday night (we didn’t use so cannot comment on the quality)
Waitrose close by is convenient

Tyckte inte om Lack of toilets compared to the size of the site. We stayed in the field nearest the toilet block, any other fields you would have to drive to the toilet/shower. I walked the dog to some of the other fields but reception told me some were a 30 min walk to the toilet. It doesn’t make sense that they don’t have some portable toilets in some of the other fields, that would make a huge difference.
When we visited it was relatively quiet, I cannot imagine how the site would cope with the small number of toilets at peak times.
Same with lack of water points although not as much of a problem if you have a large water carrier.
There are some picnic tables dotted around but all I saw were rotten and unusable. Replacing them feels like a quick win or removing them would improve things at the very least
The man on reception was not very helpful or welcoming when I first arrived so didn’t create a great first impression. My niece joined me later and her first comment was the same which is a shame.

The weekend you were here we had 150 non-electric pitches out of a maximum of 200. We do provide toilets and showers within the stipulations set out by the campsite regulations. Many guests bring a camping toilet to use for when it gets dark and even for day time use.
Apologies if Tim was not his usual friendly self when you checked in. It is a very small office and gets too hot with the temperatures we have been experiencing lately, working long hours and the continuous talking of explaining the campsite can sometimes make polite small talk difficult for anyone.
There are a couple of benches which have been damaged recently and maintenance are in the process of removing them.

Tyckte om Good atmosphere, large area where nobody is in anyone’s way. It’s a very relaxed site with a friendly crowd.
Management make a huge effort to keep the facilities clean, sadly some visitors haven’t been toilet trained and some even left litter behind. It was spotless when we arrived.

In-between cleans the facilities can become messy, we do ask guests to tidy up after themselves unfortunately not everyone does this.

Tyckte om Durchschnittlicher Campsite mit Stellflächen auf großen Wissen.
Für ein -zwei Uebernachtungen okay. Für Erkundungen in der Gegend und für einen Zwischenstop für den Eurotunnel auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Tyckte inte om Toiletten und Duschen waren nicht sonderlich sauber.
Preis nicht angemessen, für den Standard zu teuer
