Great for river activities and loads of space on the back fields.
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Camped on one of the back fields near the river. No Electric
Lots of space, great weather, great company. My grandson learned to ride his bike. Great two days messing about on the river.
We have our own facilities so didn't use the toilets or washrooms.

having your own facilities is definitely a bonus when staying on a large campsite.
We look forward to your next visit.
Good site, facilities, be aware attracts large groups.
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked This is a massive campsite! Lots of lovely level ground to park on, nice to have woods around the fields.
Disliked There were 2 large groups, I guess the downside of being such a massive campsite, it attracts large groups. One was a group of 20, another was a group of 30. We tried to camp away from them, but dependent on wind direction, the noise carries. One of the groups decided it was a good idea to sing (shout is probably a better description) till gone midnight. Not a reflection on campsite management as they do request no large groups I believe.

I am sorry you had to listen to some loud singing, was it also out of key?
When people book their own pitch we are not aware they are a group until we check the fields after they have already set up and it is usually in one of the most popular fields.
Hopefully there will be no large groups next time you stay.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked The lady on reception was so kind and helpful. She allowed us to arrive early to kayak and answered all of our questions. So nice to go to a more relaxed campsite where you feel you can relax without being stifled my rules. We’ve been coming here for over 10 years with the kids, friends & family. It’s always a good choice.
Plenty of space and clean shower blocks.
Great value and add such as as an extra person or car were reasonable.
We enjoyed kayaking to the Boathouse Pub at Yalding. A lovely pub on the river with delicious food.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Massive site, with lots of options of where to set up camp. Loads of space for the children to run around. Two toilet/shower blocks which never seemed to be too busy.
Disliked Was noisy from other campers late into the night (1am-2am).
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for choosing to stay with us I am sorry it was spoilt by noisy campers, we do not allow music after 10pm however when several people are talking or laughing noise does travel through open fields. We ask guests to keep noise to a minimum at all times and to be respectful of other guests.
Perhaps you will visit again as it is very quiet at times.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Big open space loads of room for the kids to run around. Friendly staff and people that pitch here are friendly and families and respectful of others. Been here three years and never had any trouble.
Disliked The steps have been removed from the river which was a shame. And the swing ropes from the trees gone. Plus the Picnic benches need fixing they are mostly broken. We like a bench near the tent it’s a nice part of the pitch.
