  • Pet-friendly site on 235 acres of parkland in Northamptonshire
  • Half an hour's drive from Silverstone; Northampton 15 minutes
  • Fishing lakes, bars and restaurants
Activity and fishing centre Billing Aquadrome is just a couple of miles from Great Billing in Northamptonshire and set over 235 acres of green parkland and lakes. With so much to do around its grounds, it's likely that you'll want to stay put here for your entire trip… and if you do desire to speed off somewhere, Silverstone is only half an hour's drive away. The site has fishing lakes of varying sizes and depths where avid anglers can cast off for carp and common mirror carp, catfish, pike, roach, bream, tench and rudd. Bring along your own fishing kit and an up-to-date licence, and buy a fishing ticket from the team if you want to try your luck. Away from the water, the many other facilities include bars and restaurants (yes, plural, plus a beer garden). Just take note that the bar, beer garden and restaurant are all adults-only from 10pm. There is also a seasonal swimming pool on site. And speaking of the essentials, there are takeaways, a supermarket and shops right on site too, as well as picnic areas, Sky Sports and – if you need your barnet tamed after all that activity – a hairdresser's.

What customers say

This campsite offers numerous activities for families, with guests praising the spacious pitches, friendly staff, and a wide range of amenities. The swimming pool, splash pad, and entertainment are particularly popular. While many recent improvements have been made, some guests noted issues with the cleanliness and availability of toilet and shower facilities, as well as pitch organisation and noise levels during busy periods. The park is undergoing significant development, with ongoing renovations and new facilities being introduced.

Shelduck (area 2) electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Pitches were OK, but a bit narrow. Showers and toilets were clean with enough hot water. 4G reception was good.

Disliked There were no pegs in the showers to hang clothes, just 2 small hanging buckets. The shower spray reached the door, so it was difficilt to keep your clothes dry.

Shelduck (area 3) electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Really nicely laid out site. Great range of activities for the kids. Pool is excellent.

Disliked Activities need to be booked before you arrive.
Goose poo (not the parks fault)

From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely feedback.

We are delighted to hear you enjoyed the layout of the park, the swimming pool and the wide range of activities available for the children. It is wonderful to know you had such a great stay with us.

We actually have an even bigger and better activities programme for this season, so there is even more to enjoy!

We would always recommend booking activities as early as possible, as they do fill up very quickly during busy periods. Activities can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance.

As for the goose poo one of the joys of being surrounded by nature! It is very much in our nature here to celebrate the wildlife around the park. We are very lucky to have such a large park where Mother Nature is everywhere, and the birds are free to roam safely throughout the grounds.

Our teams do work hard to keep the park clean and tidy for everyone to enjoy.

We do hope to welcome you back again very soon.

Perfect location, great facility's and lovely staff.

Shelduck (area 1) electric grass touring pitch

Liked Once we were located to our pitch I had to go back to the site staff for advice as we couldn't find shelduck 1 pitch 16.
The young lad was very accommodating and walked back with me to show us our pitch.
Loved listening to the birds late night early morning.

Disliked The showers ran cold for sometime, but finally heated up.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback.

We are really pleased to hear that once you were settled on your pitch, our team member was able to assist you and walk you back to ensure you found Shelduck 1, Pitch 16. It’s also lovely to hear you enjoyed listening to the birds in the evening and early morning it’s something we know many of our guests really appreciate.

We are sorry to hear that the showers ran cold for a period of time before heating up. We will make sure this is passed to our maintenance team to review.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your comments, and we hope to welcome you back again soon.

Shelduck (area 3) electric grass touring pitch

Liked Good size pitches clean site and shower block ,shop on site well stocked and reasonable prices and staff friendly

Disliked other pitches seamed to be crammed closer together and could be a fire risk during bank holiday ie shellduck 2,the older shower block could do with up dating could do with extra block

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback.

We are really pleased to hear that you enjoyed the good-sized pitches, clean site and shower blocks, as well as our well-stocked shop and friendly team. It is lovely to know you had a great stay with us.

We do appreciate your comments regarding the spacing of some pitches during busy Bank Holiday periods, along with your feedback about the older shower block and the suggestion for additional facilities. Guest feedback is incredibly important to us as we continue to improve the park experience.

We have already invested millions into the park and continue to invest further it is very much in our nature to keep improving and developing the site for our holiday guests.

Our teams work incredibly hard to ensure the park is kept clean and tidy for everyone to enjoy, and it is very much in our nature to create a welcoming environment for all. Please be assured that our touring teams are always on hand and actively monitor pitch allocations and available space across the touring fields throughout all arrivals.

For clarity, we must also emphasise that all pitch allocations are managed in line with strict fire safety regulations and health and safety requirements. This includes maintaining appropriate spacing between pitches to ensure safe access routes at all times and to reduce any potential fire risk. These procedures are closely followed and regularly reviewed to ensure the safety of all guests on park.

We do hope to welcome you back again soon.

Shelduck (area 3) electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Great for the kids with plenty to do

Disliked Very busy but my personal likes/dislikes as opposed to an issue with the site

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback.

We are so pleased to hear that you found there was plenty for the children to do and that you enjoyed your stay overall.

We do appreciate your comments regarding the park being busy, although during peak times this is very much in our nature as a lively family holiday destination. We are grateful that you recognised this as a personal preference rather than an issue with the site itself.

If you are looking for a quieter experience in the future, we would definitely recommend taking a look at our midweek breaks, which can often be a little more relaxed.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback, and we do hope to welcome you back again soon.
