General site overview

  • Pet-friendly site on 235 acres of parkland in Northamptonshire
  • Half an hour's drive from Silverstone; Northampton 15 minutes
  • Fishing lakes, bars and restaurants
Activity and fishing centre Billing Aquadrome is just a couple of miles from Great Billing in Northamptonshire and set over 235 acres of green parkland and lakes. With so much to do around its grounds, it's likely that you'll want to stay put here for your entire trip… and if you do desire to speed off somewhere, Silverstone is only half an hour's drive away. The site has fishing lakes of varying sizes and depths where avid anglers can cast off for carp and common mirror carp, catfish, pike, roach, bream, tench and rudd. Bring along your own fishing kit and an up-to-date licence, and buy a fishing ticket from the team if you want to try your luck. Away from the water, the many other facilities include bars and restaurants (yes, plural, plus a beer garden). Just take note that the bar, beer garden and restaurant are all adults-only from 10pm. There is also a seasonal swimming pool on site. And speaking of the essentials, there are takeaways, a supermarket and shops right on site too, as well as picnic areas, Sky Sports and – if you need your barnet tamed after all that activity – a hairdresser's.

What customers say

Billing Aquadrome's got heaps of fun for families, with loads of new stuff. While folks love the clean facilities, friendly staff & big sites, some found it busy and noisy. Works are underway, so expect some areas still being done.

Shelduck (area 2) powered gravel and concrete caravan site

Liked The site is so very much improved under new ownership - great pitches and the new singular bathroom pods towards the camping end are the way forward ! Great to have privacy in wash and toiletting areas.

Disliked The Venue was not kept clean and tidy, although the site is very dog friendly in some ways, the water station didn’t have any bowls of water.
The venue decking area was a real mess with no staff seemingly on tidy up duty and so many tables full of food packaging and glasses that we actually could find no where to sit so opted to eat and drink back at our van which was a shame.
The guest impromptu firework display at gone midnight absolutely terrified our dog - we were very close by and all screamed as it woke us up - it took us several hours to calm him. The campers dis not seem to face any consequence.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

We’re really pleased to hear your positive comments regarding the improvements across the park, especially the upgraded pitches and the new single bathroom pods. It’s great to know you found these a welcome step forward, particularly for privacy and comfort while camping.

We have invested millions back into the park in recent years, and our new Family Camping development is another exciting part of that ongoing investment. After listening closely to feedback from our holiday guests, we continue to make changes wherever we can to improve the overall experience. As part of this, we have also introduced 7 new XL Family Camping pitches to provide even more space and comfort for families staying with us.

We are sorry to hear that aspects of your visit did not meet expectations on this occasion, particularly around cleanliness in the Venue and the availability of water bowls for dogs. This is not the standard we aim to provide, and your comments have been shared with the relevant teams to review and address.

We are also aware of an incident involving fireworks during your stay. Our teams were actively out on park attempting to locate those responsible. While we always work hard to manage guest behaviour and enforce park rules, unfortunately there are occasions where individual actions fall outside of our direct control. That said, we fully understand how upsetting and disruptive this would have been, particularly for your dog, and we are very sorry for the distress caused.

At Billing Aquadrome, it’s in our nature to listen, learn, and improve. We appreciate your balanced feedback and will continue working to ensure both our facilities and guest experience are consistently improved across the park.

Thank you again for your comments, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.

P.S Thank you for the wonderful pictures!

Liked Site facilities were great

Disliked No information received prior to arrival regarding having to book activities would have been good to know this in advance.

No choice of pitch.

Ended up having to move pitch (which we had to battle for with the pitch cabin) due to antisocial behaviour of others with no action taken even though reported.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.

At Billing Aquadrome, it's in our nature to listen, learn, and improve, so we genuinely appreciate you sharing your experience with us.

We would like to highlight that activities can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance of arrival. We regularly communicate this through our guest emails, social media platforms, and website to help guests plan their holiday and secure their preferred activities before they arrive.

We are also sorry to hear that you witnessed some guests not following the park rules during your stay. We work hard to create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone, and when behaviour that falls below our expected standards is observed, our Park Teams will challenge it appropriately.

Thank you again for your feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback.

We're delighted to hear that you found our staff helpful during your stay. Our teams work hard to ensure every guest has a great experience, so it's always lovely to receive this recognition.

We are sorry to hear that some of our facilities were not open during your visit. During quieter periods, some venues and facilities may operate on reduced opening hours or weekend schedules to reflect guest demand. However, we appreciate that this may have been disappointing and will ensure your comments are shared with the relevant teams.

Thank you again for taking the time to leave your feedback, and we hope to welcome you back on park again soon.

Shelduck 1 powered gravel and concrete caravan site

Liked The site itself is very good facilities were great lots to do and the toilets and
Showers were immaculate.

Disliked There were bailiffs on the site, I called security to find out what they were doing as they were right by my pitch but didn’t hear anything back. The site attracts the wrong clientele. People doing drugs and others. Very disappointing especially when you take children and expect them to be safe. Went to the venue for one drink, there were lots of drunk people with children being loud and clearly are regulars. It wasn’t fully booked and I would hate to of seen the site fully booked. People with electric scooters on site which are dangerous.
Most sites ban these?? Very disappointing. We do not wish to go back.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.

Firstly, we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the park itself and found the facilities, toilets, and shower blocks to be clean and well maintained. Our teams work incredibly hard to maintain these standards, so it is wonderful to see this recognised.

We are, however, sorry to hear about your concerns during your stay. At Billing Aquadrome, it is in our nature to listen, learn, and improve, and we take all feedback seriously.

While we cannot comment on specific situations or individuals that may have been on park during your stay, we would like to reassure you that we operate a zero-tolerance approach to illegal drugs, anti-social behaviour, violence, or any conduct that may negatively impact the experience of our guests. Any reports received are investigated and acted upon appropriately by our Security and Park Teams.

Guest safety is our highest priority, particularly for families and children enjoying their holiday with us. We are sorry to hear that you felt uncomfortable at times, as this is certainly not the experience we want our guests to have.

We also appreciate your comments regarding electric scooters. We understand the concerns they can raise, particularly around young children and, to be honest, we share many of those frustrations ourselves. The safety of everyone on park is extremely important to us, and it is disappointing when some guests choose not to follow the rules that are in place for everyone's benefit. Our teams regularly remind guests of these rules and take action where appropriate, but unfortunately not everyone follows the guidance provided.

We are already looking at ways to make this safer for everyone on park and are actively reviewing additional measures that could further improve safety across the resort. This is something we take very seriously, and we are committed to finding solutions that help protect all our guests while maintaining an enjoyable holiday environment.

Whilst we are disappointed to hear that you do not wish to return, we do appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Feedback such as yours helps us continue to review our processes and ensure we provide the best possible environment for all our guests.

Shelduck (area 2) powered grass caravan site

Liked Facilities were great . Young lady on the gate was lovely and was working very hard. The young lad at the hut was very friendly but did not know his left and right and sent us the wrong way lol we got there in the end . Give him some maps to use and give out will help all round . But both were very friendly and smiling.

Disliked Ground was un level all over the site , we had a group of men in black outfit standing in front of our pitch with black jep like cars from 8 am til after 5pm both days . There was some sort of problem with a few canavan/ motorhome on the pitches around us but not sure what . They were on the phone then some would leave and more would turn up it was very unsettling. At one point there were 6 cars or vans and over 10 people all just watching people plots. The site had to know about it as there is a barrier at the gate to allow you in .
I feel it would of been better for the site to ask us to move if there was a problem, the site was not full.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.

We are really pleased to hear you liked the new stage and the additional Family Camping and toilet facilities. We have invested millions back into the park over recent years as we continue to improve the experience for all of our holiday guests.

We do completely understand your frustrations regarding the toilet conditions. Unfortunately, at times some guests do not look after the facilities or the park as they should, which then impacts the experience for everyone else. We become just as frustrated when toilet rolls are removed, facilities are damaged, or guests do not clean up after themselves. When this behaviour is observed, our park teams will challenge it directly.

We are always looking at ways to improve and make the experience better for all guests, so we absolutely take feedback onboard rather than shy away from it. We know there is always more we can do, and it is in our nature to keep pushing forward and improving.

In regard to activities and swimming sessions, these do need to be booked in advance. Guests are able to book activities up to two weeks before arrival, and we communicate this regularly through our social media channels, website, and email communications. Our activities are extremely popular and can fill up quickly during busy periods, but we are always reviewing our systems to try and make things as fair as possible for everyone.

Thank you again for your feedback, and we do hope to welcome you back again in the future.
