  • Pet-friendly site on 235 acres of parkland in Northamptonshire
  • Half an hour's drive from Silverstone; Northampton 15 minutes
  • Fishing lakes, bars and restaurants
Activity and fishing centre Billing Aquadrome is just a couple of miles from Great Billing in Northamptonshire and set over 235 acres of green parkland and lakes. With so much to do around its grounds, it's likely that you'll want to stay put here for your entire trip… and if you do desire to speed off somewhere, Silverstone is only half an hour's drive away. The site has fishing lakes of varying sizes and depths where avid anglers can cast off for carp and common mirror carp, catfish, pike, roach, bream, tench and rudd. Bring along your own fishing kit and an up-to-date licence, and buy a fishing ticket from the team if you want to try your luck. Away from the water, the many other facilities include bars and restaurants (yes, plural, plus a beer garden). Just take note that the bar, beer garden and restaurant are all adults-only from 10pm. There is also a seasonal swimming pool on site. And speaking of the essentials, there are takeaways, a supermarket and shops right on site too, as well as picnic areas, Sky Sports and – if you need your barnet tamed after all that activity – a hairdresser's.

What customers say

Loads to do for families! Loved the big sites, helpful staff & heaps of facilities. Pool, splash pad & entertainment a hit. Some found loos/showers a bit messy/limited & noise could be an issue. Big changes happening with upgrades and new bits.

Shelduck (area 3) powered gravel and concrete caravan site

Liked Kids entertainments engaged children and parents the animators were nice and creative, mini train free attraction, venue and playgrounds. Alpacas, and calm atmosphere.

Disliked No dogs area, people walked with their pupils and didn’t clean after dogs, none separate places for grey water available, I must lifted heavy waste water carrier and drop the wastewater into to chemicals waste. I’ve been told that Swimming Pool is fully booked without even checking but it wasn’t. No WiFi.

Shelduck (area 3) powered grass caravan site

Liked This is a great place for families with children, lots to do to keep them occupied but not for me im afraid.

Disliked No privacy on pitch, people walking all around your van, back, front, side. At 12.20 am a group of people stood outside chatting, laughing very loudly! I know the site cant control that but it woke me up. It was extremely busy being a bank holiday.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.

We’re really pleased to hear that you found the park a great place for families and that there was plenty on offer to keep children entertained, even though it wasn’t quite the right fit for you on this occasion.

We are sorry to hear about the disturbance you experienced during the night and appreciate how frustrating this must have been. While we do our best to manage behaviour on park, especially during busy bank holiday periods, we understand this impacted your stay and we do apologise. Your comments have been shared with our team so they can be reviewed and monitored more closely.

Thank you also for highlighting the issue in the Shelduck 3 shower block regarding the taps. It’s in our nature to listen, take feedback on board, and continuously look at ways we can improve. This has been passed to our maintenance team to investigate and address.

We really appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve the experience for all our guests, and we hope we may have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future.

Liked Cleaning staff very good! For the amount of people on site the toilets were kept to a very good standard

Disliked Showers were either cold or to hot! I took my 4 year old son into the family shower and it was that hot I couldn’t shower in it and the direction of the shower soaked my belongings from approx 8ft away so how can I put a 4 year old in it
Wouldn’t take any cash payments and stated card only.

Liked On the surface and on arrival looked fantastic in terms of facilities and price.

Disliked Both marked and unmarked police cars patrolling/searching the area. And the majority of other ‘guests’ be tradesmen giving it a very different vibe.

We left and did not stay as felt unsafe.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.

We’re really pleased to hear that on arrival the park and facilities looked fantastic and offered good value for money.
However, we are very sorry to hear that your experience on this occasion did not meet your expectations and that you felt uncomfortable and chose not to stay. While we cannot comment on external services or patrol activity, we absolutely understand how important it is for all guests to feel safe and at ease during their stay, and we are genuinely sorry that this was not your experience.

Your feedback has been noted and shared with the relevant teams, as it is in our nature to listen, take comments seriously, and continuously look at ways we can improve the guest experience.
We are sorry again that you did not stay with us on this occasion, and we do hope that in the future you may consider giving us another opportunity to provide you with a more positive experience.

Great stay definitely coming again.

Liked After what happened at night, nothing

Disliked Extremely unsafe experience. A group played deafening music until 5 AM and became violent, shouting and vowing to demolish their own property. My children were terrified. Despite the police attending twice and multiple calls to reception, management did absolutely nothing to intervene or remove the group. Total failure in duty of care. Avoid

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

Please be assured that our park teams were working behind the scenes throughout to support those involved and to help ensure the safety and wellbeing of all holiday guests. We take our duty of care extremely seriously.

We do listen and take all feedback on board, and we are truly sorry that your experience was impacted in this way, particularly as we understand how upsetting this must have been for you and your children.
