  • Pet-friendly site on 235 acres of parkland in Northamptonshire
  • Half an hour's drive from Silverstone; Northampton 15 minutes
  • Fishing lakes, bars and restaurants
Activity and fishing centre Billing Aquadrome is just a couple of miles from Great Billing in Northamptonshire and set over 235 acres of green parkland and lakes. With so much to do around its grounds, it's likely that you'll want to stay put here for your entire trip… and if you do desire to speed off somewhere, Silverstone is only half an hour's drive away. The site has fishing lakes of varying sizes and depths where avid anglers can cast off for carp and common mirror carp, catfish, pike, roach, bream, tench and rudd. Bring along your own fishing kit and an up-to-date licence, and buy a fishing ticket from the team if you want to try your luck. Away from the water, the many other facilities include bars and restaurants (yes, plural, plus a beer garden). Just take note that the bar, beer garden and restaurant are all adults-only from 10pm. There is also a seasonal swimming pool on site. And speaking of the essentials, there are takeaways, a supermarket and shops right on site too, as well as picnic areas, Sky Sports and – if you need your barnet tamed after all that activity – a hairdresser's.

What customers say

Great for families! Spacious sites, friendly staff, and heaps of activities like the pool and splash pad. Some folks found toilets a bit busy/messy and pitches a bit disorganised/noisy when full. Lots of upgrades happening.

Liked After what happened at night, nothing

Disliked Extremely unsafe experience. A group played deafening music until 5 AM and became violent, shouting and vowing to demolish their own property. My children were terrified. Despite the police attending twice and multiple calls to reception, management did absolutely nothing to intervene or remove the group. Total failure in duty of care. Avoid

Liked The two ladies at guest services were super helpful! The train ride was great fun for little ones. We went swimming and fed the alpacas. Which were also great fun!

Disliked I didn’t see any security on site. Some of the people that stay here were extremely disrespectful playing loud bassy music at 21:30 at night. I understand this can go on until 10pm, but it’s a family site so lots of us have young children! A little respect wouldn’t go a miss!
2 young boys were allowed to whiz around on electric bikes through the caravans; at the speed they were going, they could’ve killed someone!!! Children especially.
Unfortunately it’s like chav city!😢
Just seems as if you can do as you like, no one takes any notice of the rules! I’m sure it states you can’t have work vans/vehicles on site, there is. It states you can’t have caravans longer than 8m, there’s lots…
It wasn’t somewhere I felt safe staying.
I’d stay again, but wouldn’t be in a hurry to!!

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.

We’re really pleased to hear that you enjoyed parts of your stay, especially your experience with our Guest Services team, the train ride, swimming, and feeding the alpacas it’s lovely to know these moments stood out for you.

We are very sorry to hear that you felt unsafe at times during your stay. Please be assured that we do have both security and welcome teams who regularly patrol the park throughout the day and evening. Any behaviour that is disruptive or disrespectful to others should be challenged by our team members, and we take this very seriously.

We clearly communicate our park rules to all guests and expect them to be followed at all times for the safety and wellbeing of everyone on site. It’s in our nature to listen, act, and continually improve, and your feedback has been shared with the park team to ensure this is reviewed and monitored closely.

We understand how important it is for families to feel safe and relaxed, especially in the evenings, and we are sorry that this impacted your experience.

We do hope we can welcome you back in the future and provide you with a much more positive stay.

Liked lots to do if you have a family

Disliked not being able to find pitch drove around the world had to go back to get help , pitch numbers are not big enough to see , then someone else was on my pitch had to go to a different pitch not well organised, kids running around and on scooters riding over pitches not supervised, swearing , screaming till all hours , dryers not working in toliet blocks

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

I’m really pleased to hear you felt there was lots to do on park and that this suited your family stay.

I’m very sorry to hear about the issues you experienced on arrival with locating your pitch and the confusion over pitch allocation. This is not the level of organisation we aim to provide, and I completely understand how frustrating this would have been after travelling. I have passed this feedback on to the team so we can review signage and pitch numbering to make this clearer going forward.

I am also sorry to hear about the behaviour you observed around the park. We always encourage children to be supervised at all times, and if children are seen not respecting the rules, this will be challenged by our teams to ensure all guests can enjoy a safe and pleasant stay. It is in our nature to make sure we maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone on park.

We have also ensured that there are lots of facilities and activities available on park for families to enjoy, from swimming, to Dino Carts, to the Tribe Den, as well as plenty of open space for children to run around and play safely.

Thank you for also highlighting the issue with the dryers in the toilet blocks. I have notified our Touring Manager so this can be investigated and addressed as a priority.

We really do appreciate you bringing these points to our attention, as they help us improve the guest experience.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback.

I am very sorry to hear about your experience, and I completely understand your concerns especially where children are involved. This is certainly not the standard we expect on park.

It’s in our nature to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all our guests, and I can assure you we will be speaking with our teams to reinforce the importance of adhering to speed limits and driving responsibly around the park.

Your comments have been taken seriously and will be addressed as a priority.
