Liked Absolutely wonderful site, so peaceful and quiet and well maintained, toilets and showers were spotless. Hosts were very helpful and welcoming.

Liked Able to choose any hard standing pitch. Was aware on booking that there were no toilet facilities so no issue, but I believe that an addition of toilet facilities would be an improvement. Was close to road with quite a lot of agricultural activity but really goes to show how hard the farming community works for the country 👍👍

Liked Pleasant quiet site, toilet and shower clean and tidy. S Pitch number allocated and notified on large board as you enter site, so no need for reception.

Liked Lovely farm site with beautiful scenery. Lady was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and told us lots about the farm and her family, really lovely. She also went out of her way to help with our TV set up for the England football match, really appreciated this, Thankyou.

Liked Lovely well kept site. Liked the fact each pitch was allocated its own toilet. Nice wet room. Sid was very helpful and lovely to chat to. Checked on the morning of departure that everything was ok with the stay.

From the manager: We are in the Lake District National Park where signs need to be unobtusive. At the end of our lane there is a sign for Thornbank Farm, with a picture of cows and sheep on it and others from our milk co-op with the farm name on. and smaller ones for Harebeck Cottage. Smaller Directional signs are there for our glamping site. If it is night time these may not be as easily seen as they are set back a little from the main road. Liked Toilet and shower block ok Nature reserve was really good and well worth it, saw a herd of around 40+ fallow deer, squirrels, Marsh Harrier, pair of swans with cignets and pair of geese with goslings.

Disliked Pitch was in effect just a car park with 3 electric pitches!

Liked Lovely pitches with ample space, close to a beautiful beach. Pleased to see the pool has been refurbished.

Liked The most gorgeous setting and very peaceful and quiet with zero light pollution. Facilities were perfectly acceptable for a small site like this.

Disliked Only suggestion would be to have a short hose on the chemical waste to help clean down each time it’s used and for a drainage channel for grey waste rather than having to transfer in containers from MH tank to waste drain.

Liked Very peaceful, quiet and well kept site. Advertised with no toilet or shower facilities which we were happy with and priced at £17 was very good value. Spoke to the owners and their plan will be to install toilet and shower facilities possibly for next season which will make the site even better.

Disliked No dislikes other than a lack of Wi-Fi on pitch, however there was free BT Wi-Fi at reception.

Liked Very welcoming staff, very pleasant and friendly. Small quiet site, with nice shop and restaurant on site. Facilities adequate with nice wet room.

Liked Nice site, close to beach. Pitches were a good size and site ground were well maintained. Activities e.g swimming pool included.

Disliked Shower and toilet blocks clean but in need of better maintenance or could do with refurbishment. Pool starting to look a little tired as well. Children’s entertainment would have been ok but music far too loud for little ones ears.

Liked Very well kept site and facilities, shower and toilet block was extremely clean and tidy. 3 Rocks bar and restaurant was very good and food was reasonably priced, would definitely stay here again.

Disliked Wi-Fi was a bit of an issue but other than that nothing really.

Liked Very welcoming hosts and lovely hot drinks on arrival.

Disliked Booked a hard standing pitch but only area available was between two caravans, not really enough room either side. Would prefer allocated pitches.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We know it makes all the difference offering a cuppa on arrival, especially if you've had a long journey. We don't do set pitches or allocate them at the moment, however we are looking at introducing both over the winter so guests will have the choice as to whether they want to choose where they want to go or to have an allocated pitch.

Disliked Booked a gravel pitch but neighbour parked on grass within 3 feet of my vehicle. Warden should have done rounds and advised him to park on the gravel.
