  • Well-maintained, peaceful campsite in the Peak District National Park
  • Walking distance to the Tissington Trail, Dovedale and Thorpe Cloud
  • Dog-friendly grass pitches; 20 minutes’ walk to the local pub
Hollington End Farm is a peaceful back-to-basics site with grass pitches on a small working Derbyshire farm. It’s five minutes’ drive from the village of Thorpe, sitting on the Staffordshire border and occupying an enviably lovely location due to its proximity to some of the most dramatic scenery in the Peak District National Park. The campsite itself is a part-sloping field with hard standings, electric hook-ups and plenty of space for awnings. Dogs are welcome. A public footpath crosses the site which takes you onto endless miles of walks through the stunning scenery of peaks and dales, including Manifold Valley. You can stroll across the farm’s fields to the local village pub serving meals and guest ales, or take a short walk to the timeless village of Tissington (both 20 minutes’ stroll), where you can enjoy refreshments overlooking the duck pond.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Beautiful Working farm. Surround by country side as far as the eye can see Fairly quiet, semi busy road. Lovely warm welcome from the owner. Local pub only 10-15 min walk down the round . Black waste disposal point. Water tap Bin shed for waste an recycling.

Disliked: Hard standing pitches are not level and in the bad weather the ground soon gave way and almost got stuck a couple of times. So be prepared if you go in wet weather! Would suggest reversing into space tho it is a tight turn.v Hard standing pitches right next to the road and main gate so you hear everything every time a car, truck or tractor goes by, day and night. But you get the best views so can put up with a lil traffic No toilets so make sure you take your own. No showers so take a flannel. But this is all reflected in the price

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Nice views and easy access, friendly staff 👍

Disliked: Grey waste is poured into ditch near boundary wall. Im not keen on this personally as I like to know its not going to be found by animals but in all fairness animals would probably love and need it. Water tap is a bit far from the path/driveways over grass but in dry weather this would be fine.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Lovely quiet spot, we like to find quiet campsites for bonfire night to keep the dog happy, and this ticked that box. Very friendly owners. Just a shame the weather wasn't on our side but when the sun did some put beautiful view from our pitch.

Liked: Lovely and helpful host, Steph. She told us about the footpath leading to Dovedale so we took her advice and did the walk, it was fantastic. Electric hookup worked fine and there was fresh water and toilet emptying facilities. Great quiet location, would stay again.

Non-electric grass touring pitch (sloping)

Liked: What a gem! Quiet rural location in the beautiful peaks with walks in all directions. Steph was very friendly and accommodating, a very relaxing place to stay.

Disliked: A little more sloping site that we normally like but that was not a major problem as it was in such a beautiful area.
