Liked Love this site! Small, quiet and such stunning views. Large pitches, spare hook up cable provided for those pitches that are far from the electric point. Access to walks directly through the site. Simple facilities but they are all you need. Just the relaxing getaway we needed.

Liked Lovely large space over 2 fields, with plenty of room on each pitch. Water, electric, grey waste drain all at the pitch with access to TV aerial also (although we managed a fair few channels off our aerial so didn't need to use). Owners have provided Pitch in Use tubs, for putting on your pitch when off for the day, and longer hoses too. Very thoughtful. New toilet block with pot wash & info hub was brilliant, very clean and well looked after. Dog run field was great to have for some safe off lead time, plus the views are lovely! Good wifi too.

Liked For a large site it felt very warm & welcoming with great sized pitches that were well laid out. We really liked the location & facilities available. Being in the forest was fantastic and the walks around the woodland a real bonus. The fact that tourers sections were interspersed between static sections really helped to make the site connected rather than segregated and the lovely treees and plants everywhere softened the boundaries beautifully. The shop, reception, library, laundrette, toilets and showers were all of a very high standard and, like the whole site, very well looked after. The bus stops for Ambleside & Coniston being right at the entrance was so convenient but some may struggle with the mile walk down and back along the driveway to get there. We've always been wary of large sites but this one had us wanting to stay longer!

Liked Lovely location. Really felt away from it all and the views were beautiful. Calm and relaxing, the amazing weather really helped! Site was good with the pitches clearly marked. Most pitches are on a slope so make sure you have some good chocks. There are a couple of water taps, chem disposal and waste, plus a handy notice board with helpful info. Walks to Lathkil Dale and Bradford Dale start from the village, only a few minutes walk away. Ideal getaway.

Liked What a lovely little site. Plenty of space on your pitch, great views and friendly, helpful owners :) yes, it is right next to a well used country road but road noise was minimal and didn't bother us. There is a couple of water points, chemical disposal and bin/recycling area, what more do you need! Very well situated for walks directly from the site to Thorpe Cloud, Ilam & Tissington, plus access to the Tissington trail is only a few minutes walk away.

Liked Large site but we were camping with non electric group so got pitched next to them on the last hook up, had plenty of space. Toilet & shower facilities we're good. Warm water, good showers and all clean. Liked the toilet & shower combo rooms. Fishing options good, even with matches taking place on 2 of the big lakes that weekend. Cafe and shop great extras to have. Good walks around site and a nice walk to Retford straight from site via the riverbank.

Liked The views! Stunning part of Derbyshire. The site is simple but has the important things, fresh water & chemical disposal, with good access to electric hook up for all pitches. The owner is very friendly and helpful on arrival. A public footpath goes through the farm giving you durect access to good walks. Half an hour to Hartington for food and drink and a lovely walk there & back.

Liked Wow, what a wonderful campsite! An absolute gem! Clean, flat, secure site. Beautifully kept with lovely level pitches, well marked out with a good sized space per pitch. Great facilities. Gorgeous village and views.

Liked The views were amazing. The easy access to the Tissington trail (through a gate in the next field). Friendly owner. Water point, chemical disposal and rubbish bins all good and checked daily.

Disliked The ground is very uneven in lots of places, due to being exposed to the elements, I imagine. Pick your pitch carefully and you'll be nice and level. If it has rained heavily before your arrival be warned that it could be rather boggy in places. Can't have the stunning views without being at the mercy of the weather, go prepared.

Liked Such a lovely small campsite. Views are beautiful and the facilities clean and well maintained. We were greeted with such a warm welcome on our arrival and made to feel at home straight away. The pitches are level with plenty of space between neighbours. Located a 5 minute stroll from the beach and 10/15 mins walk to Chapel St Leonard’s shops (along the promenade), Rosa campsite is a great location for couples and families alike.
