This is a well-located, friendly, and generally clean site with spacious pitches. Staff are consistently praised. The pub and amenities are popular, though some found the toilet and shower blocks dated and in need of modernisation. Other minor issues mentioned include occasional road noise and pitch size variations. The site is considered good value and many visitors express a desire to return.

Lovely but room for improvement
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Well kept site, excellent laundry facilities, we arrived at 8pm but there’s a number on the door for the night warden and he arrived a few minutes later, opened up reception and explained everything.
Disliked The touring pitches are very close to each other but we didn’t put the awning up this time.
The biggest disappointment is the showers. The toilet and shower block were very clean but the size of the shower cubicles are a bit of a challenge. They have plenty of hooks for clothes, towels etc but the “dry” space is tiny and I’m only 5’ 2” & a size 8. The showers are push button but each push only gets you 4 seconds and the head is fixed in place so the force hits the shower curtain, pushing it away from the shower tray and soaking the “dry” area.
So there’s an inch of water on the floor where you have to try and not get your clothes soaked whilst trying to get dressed again.
And doing this with a small child is even more difficult..

Adequate facilities and lovely setting
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Spacious pitches and area
Clean facilities
Disliked Showers were not hot enough, needed refurbishment and were too small in cubicle size and set too high. This site is more geared up I'd say for proper motor homes rather than little campers like mine who rely more heavily on decent facilities. There was no dedicated washing up sink, it was all combined with clothes washing area...not ideal.
