A aimé Friendly staff at reception helpful and informative. Spacious pitch, though the electrical point was a bit old and cranky. The grounds are lovely and having the river bank to walk along is nice.

N'a pas aimé For the amount of money the facilities for touring vans are not good. The toilet block was very clean but the showers were small, you would not be able to shower a child in them or use them safely if you had mobility issues. Granted there is a disabled facility which is locked with a RADAR key , but a stool or bench would help to keep your clothes dry and help you to dress and keep yourself dry. The shower had to be held on constant or the water was cold.

3. External lighting outside the pod didn't work
4. Internal door lock on pod didn't work
5. Jacuzzi and sauna ongoing maintenance which was not disclosed prior
6. Cound not fit the awning due to where the tap was situated next to pitch
7. Could not park the car next to caravan due to the caravan due to the pitches either side parking on top of us.
8. Struggled to get reversed onto the pitch due to the space
9. Showers were not to standard expected cutting off after 10 seconds
10. Choice on draft in the bar was very limited

N'a pas aimé The showers were awkward to use as they turn themselves of every few seconds also a fixed head making it very difficult to shower small children
Also the pitches are quite close to the facing pitches making it difficult to get larger vans in the bays

We’re sorry to hear you found the showers difficult to use, particularly when showering small children. We appreciate you taking the time to highlight the issue with the shower controls and fixed heads.

A aimé The pod itself was close to the facilities (toilets and washing up). It came with a double socket, light and fridge. Compared to our usual tent we could stand upright. It was very nice to have our own bench for breakfast and evening nibbles. It was a good alternative to a tent and great to try one out for the first time. The location of the site was very good for the various places we were going to visit and at £140 for 4 nights it was really good value.

N'a pas aimé There are a few issues. The pod was carpeted but it was stained. What had not occurred to us when booking is that people bring their dogs and both people and dogs sleep in these pods. (We could see this happen as others who took pods during our stay did just this). We had basic camping equipment with Thermarests and sleeping bags. Given we slept very close to the floor the thought of dogs having spent time on the floor made this rather less appealing. The site is mostly geared around static caravans with a small area given over to touring campers along with the 3 pods. Although the facilities provided were enough for us their standard seemed to reflect that fact that they were for a minority of people. The men’s facilities were just about okay during the weekdays when there were less guests around but come the weekend when it got busier it was a lot less pleasant. The loos didn't flush particularly well. Fluids from the urinals whether from leaking pipes or men who can't aim blended with some of the water from the showers. This drained into a not particularly well cut and sealed hole and grill in the floor. The facilities may have been cleaned a couple of times a day but I am sorry to say I struggled to see the difference. Being a clean and tidy sort of a person I found the facilities unpleasant. One further issue that was far less prevalent at our end of the site were the geese. We wandered to the other end where there was a pond amongst the statics. There was geese poo everywhere and the smell was unpleasant. How the people in the statics put up with this I do not know. After 4 days we were pleased to leave. I contemplated making these comments when handing in the keys but we were short of time and once I got going I might have been some time!

A aimé The gravel pitch is absolutely massive plenty of electric hook ups and water taps, river ran through the park right at the back of our pitch, 3 big really good kids play parks, excellent shop and lovely pub restaurant and pool. 5 minute walk into the village

A aimé Simple booking and lovely staff on reception. Well kept grounds, water and electric on pitch.
Wooler is a lovely small town. Shop and pub in walking distance.

N'a pas aimé Toilets and showers do need an upgrade. Servicable but tired for the type and price of site.
WiFi was difficult to connect to, reception unable to help, needed to ring customer service who were helpful and did manage to get me connected eventually.

N'a pas aimé Toilet and shower facilities. Three female toilets and showers is far too few for a campsite of this size, considering all the children use the female facilities too. Tried to get into the showers twice one evening and each time, there was a parent with children using them all, each child having a separate shower to themselves. Pitches too tightly crammed in so no privacy and noise. Left within three hours of checking in.
