Liked Visited Tom at Greendyke farm before so it feels like catching up with old friend, always a warm welcome and the site suits my needs very well.

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Made to feel very welcome by Ian and his wife, the camping pitches are around the two fishing lakes which create a great view first thing in the morning, had everything I needed, would happily return in the future.
Disliked Minor thing but the road leading to the lakes is an unpaved gravel track that some might find a bit uneven, didn’t cause me any pro and I was towing a trailer.

The Mead electric gravel and hardstanding campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The park is very well kept and ideally placed for what we had in mind for the two days we stayed, cycling the Colliers trail through the forest.
Disliked The only thing that let the site down for us was the toilet block that needs a few things sorting, hooks missing off the backs of doors, urinal out of order, a shower control that was very loose and a loose toilet seat, minor things but it let the side down when the rest of the site is so impressive.

Electric optional grass touring pitch
Liked Susan was the perfect host at Bailey Bridge campsite and could not do enough to ensure your stay is a comfortable one, the site has beautiful farmland views all round but is close enough to visit places of interest with little effort.
We had plenty of birds to watch whilst relaxing in the quiet surroundings including a small owl that visited many times over the three days we stayed.

Alford, Lincolnshire, England
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Old Barn Retreat is an immaculately kept camping site with well tended flower beds, hedges and lawns, the facilities are very clean and all the buildings that house them are very well looked after.
Disliked Feel petty saying these as dislikes but I want to be as honest as possible, one of our pet hates is paying for showers, not because of the cost but the need to have pound coins on hand which we rarely do, the other very small thing were the the sinks in the toilets, they were very small and slightly awkward to use.

Liked Tom the owner was very welcoming and his site is flat with open views across farmland.
The facilities were clean and everything you need.
It’s well placed for walking and cycling with villages and town’s within easy reach.

Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, Wales
Electric optional gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked The site is set in a slightly raised position above Llanelli and has a great view of the estuary below (weather permitting) the hard standing pitches are perfectly flat, well spaced and all have water and ehu, the facilities are superb being housed in a newly constructed building and the site has everything you need for a break away.
Disliked Not sure it counts as a dislike but the only thing missing (thinking really hard here) was a mirror in the showers, not something i had noticed but my wife mentioned it, its been a while since I needed a mirror to do my hair!

Electric grass pitch
Liked Good sized site with plenty of space to set up in, the facilities are clean and has everything you need, Dave the site manager is always on hand and is very keen to make sure everything is just right.
Disliked The only thing we could state a minor dislike would be the lack of a pub within easy walking distance, not a deal breaker though.

Llanfyrnach, Pembrokeshire, Wales
Electric optional hardstanding and grass pitch
Liked The site is very quiet, we were the only people there the first night we stayed, the owner is a very friendly chap but if he offers you some hot salad beware, if you don't like mustard you may find it a bit hot.
The facilities are two toilets in separate units, very clean and roomy, and the rest of the toilet and washing facilities are housed in a mobile home which are more than adequate, the only down side may be if the site was busy as there is only one shower.
Disliked The only dislike for us was the lack of a pub within walking distance that did food, the site is a little remote so you'll need to aware that visiting anywhere will require a drive.

Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked The park is situated in a very pretty valley with stream (small river after all the rain) running alongside, nicely sized pitches well spaced, good facilities which were cleaned regularly, everything we needed or would like.
Disliked The park is undergoing some expansion at the moment which meant the water supply was interrupted for the days we were there, several signs around the park alerted us to the interruptions so ultimately there was little problem.

From the manager: Thank you very much for your comments - we really appreciate them. We are pleased to hear that you liked the park and its location, as well as the pitch sizes and the facilities. Thank you also for your comments regarding the water supply - we are glad that it caused little disruption to your stay. I have passed these comments along. We hope that despite this to see you again.
St Asaph, Denbighshire, Wales
Electric hardstanding touring pitch (twin axle)
Liked Clean campsite with good facilities and friendly owners.
Disliked The site appears to caters mainly for owners of caravans that leave them parked at the site and visit at weekends, this means that the site is virtually full of caravans to the extent that it almost feels a bit overcrowded.

Calne, Wiltshire, England
Electric grass pitch (small)
Liked The site is conveniently placed on the outskirts of Calne within easy reach of shops and the town centre, the site is well established with tall hedges and trees that break up the overall site into smaller areas (called paddocks) which gives a more private feeling to the camping experience.
Mostly level pitches with a few having slight slopes but nothing levelling ramps can’t cope with.
Disliked There are plenty of facilities on site with two buildings containing toilets, showers, washing up and toilet emptying facilities, the only (minor) complaint would be that they are now looking in need of a bit of a spruce up.

From the manager: Thank you for the lovely feedback about our site! We can see that our amenities blocks need a serious update and we have taken this into consideration. We hope to see you in the future! Many thanks, Blacklands Team
Llwyngwril, Gwynedd, Wales
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Superb views out to sea, mostly level pitches with hookup, we were on pitch eight and would have struggled to put up the awning as it was sloping but as we were only staying one night it suited us perfectly.
In a paddock next to the site there’s are some goats which pleased my wife immensely.
The village has a pub that does a good range of pub grub, very friendly locals and a pleasant way to spend an evening.
Disliked Having to pay for the showers, twenty pence for two minutes, or ten minutes for a pound, having said that the facilities are good and it would only be an issue for us if we had stayed longer.
The site has rail line running alongside which has a regular service, the saving grace being there is a small station just up from the site which means the train that consists of two carriages is never travelling very fast and so doesn’t cause any disruption.

Ansley, Warwickshire, England
Electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked This is a small site that caters for adults, we stayed one night on our way back from a two week round trip and were lucky enough to find ourselves the only campers on site other than the people staying in the Pod, the site is in the grounds of a substantial farm house with beautifully manicured gardens and the hard standing pitches back on to these gardens.
Thoroughly enjoyed our one night and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
Disliked The only fly in the ointment is the lack of shower facilities, there is a toilet on site, grey water disposal, electric hookup and fresh water taps, if your vehicle has a shower then this won’t be of concern.

From the manager: Thank you so much for leaving an overall 10 review of Hood Lane Farm Motorhome pitch and for choosing to stay with us. We're early days in opening so all suggestions are welcomed, and we thank you for your feedback. We currently do not advertise or have showers but might something to consider as the site develops in the future :)
