Hood Lane Farm: Pitches are alongside the garden

General

  • Small adults-only site in the grounds of a farm in rural Warwickshire
  • A 25-minute drive from Drayton Manor Theme Park and Twycross Zoo
  • A short walk from two village pubs; footpaths and country lanes nearby

Staying in the grounds of a farm and wandering down local country lanes, you’re in for a rather relaxing time at Hood Lane Farm in rural Warwickshire. Activities? On site, you may want to take a walk around the grounds and go insect spotting at the wildlife pond and in the evening, sit out and watch the stars. There's plenty of scope for lounging with a cool drink in hand, admiring the views of the countryside and reminiscing on your days out at the likes of Drayton Manor Theme Park and Twycross Zoo (both 25 minutes’ drive) or Market Bosworth (20 minutes).

Off the site, things are just as splendid. Indeed, there’s easy access to local footpaths and country lanes for walking, running and cycling (with your furry friend if you have one, as they’re welcome here too). Afterwards, there are two traditional village pubs under 25 minutes’ walk from the site for local ales and pub grub.

That’s not the only option for tracking down fodder and supplies. The local villages also have other amenities within walking distance, including a large golf course, a fish and chip shop, a butchers and a small shop. There’s a book shop and coffee shop five minutes’ drive away. Plus, every Sunday, the Furnace End Market and Car Boot Sale takes place 35 minutes’ walk from the site.

This small adults-only site is part of private grounds at Hood Lane Farm and is hosted by the friendly Kearns family and their springer Charlie. Having grown up in the village, David and his family will be happy to help out and point you towards places to visit, eat and drink. This is a small, well-maintained and back to basics site, so it’s well suited for a stopover.

Please note that there are no showers available for motorhome guests. An outside toilet is available.

Please note

At least one of the party members must be aged 21 or over.

The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

This site has no on-site toilet and shower facilities.

Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed on site.

The pod was amazing, beautifully furnished and well appointed. The views from the veranda were wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunset from the sofa. My hosts were excellent and exceedingly welcoming. The fact that you can park right outside the pod was very handy, especially for a lone female. I will most definitely book with them again.

Hood Lane Farm is a perfect little site for a quick stop over or a few night stay. Lindsay, David and Charlie 🐶 were amazing hosts and welcomed us with open arms. The site is well kept and clean and has a site toilet and waste facilities. The local pub is just a short 20 min walk away. There is plenty of space to walk your dog, and many local footpaths to explore. A bonus to the site is ‘The Hut’ which serves amazing coffee (and tasty goodies). 😍 We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful location. Friendly and super-helpful owners. Plenty of space!!
This is a lovely site. David and Lindsay, the owners are very helpful. They provided us with a map of the local area and a list of interesting places to visit. David even gave us a lift to the pub!!
The site is a basic CL type. It has electric hookups water, toilet and facilities for waste water and chemical toilet disposal. Everything is very well maintained and very clean. There are hard standings and grass pitches. We went on a grass pitch as the view was outstanding. The pitches are spacious and all look over open countryside and a picturesque pond at the bottom of the field.
    Very highly recommended!!

This is a small site that caters for adults, we stayed one night on our way back from a two week round trip and were lucky enough to find ourselves the only campers on site other than the people staying in the Pod, the site is in the grounds of a substantial farm house with beautifully manicured gardens and the hard standing pitches back on to these gardens.
Thoroughly enjoyed our one night and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

    Disliked:

The only fly in the ointment is the lack of shower facilities, there is a toilet on site, grey water disposal, electric hookup and fresh water taps, if your vehicle has a shower then this won’t be of concern.

Thank you so much for leaving an overall 10 review of Hood Lane Farm Motorhome pitch and for choosing to stay with us. We're early days in opening so all suggestions are welcomed, and we thank you for your feedback. We currently do not advertise or have showers but might something to consider as the site develops in the future :)
