What customers say
Blackland Lakes is a spacious and well-maintained campsite with a friendly atmosphere, popular with families due to its play area, nature trail, and animals. Visitors appreciate the location, level pitches, and on-site bar serving pizzas. While many find the facilities clean and adequate, some reviews mention them being dated or in need of an update. Fishing is a popular activity, though experiences vary. Occasional noise issues and concerns about shower cleanliness are noted by a minority.

Great family site, just don’t expect peace and quiet!
Non-electric grass pitch (large)
Liked Lots of space for kids to run around in the middle of the paddocks and great playpark with shade.
Nature trail with goats.
Hot generous showers.
Well stocked shop, but not lots of options for camping gas so bring spares with you.
Beautiful scenery and lots of trees.
Very dark skies at night, we saw the Milky Way!!
Felt safe and everyone was friendly.
Great pizzas.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Disliked It may have just been our paddock but it was very noisy at night, particularly if camped by playpark.
Shower block, loos and sinks were gross in the morning, I’d advise showering the night before!
We would have appreciated a freezer for our ice packs, and as fires etc were not allowed, access to a kettle would have been very helpful.

Liked We like this camp site, hence 2nd time of stopping here. Beautiful surroundings. Good size pitches with free space in middle of field for children to play etc. The pizza is good.
Disliked As far as I am aware no freezer for ice blocks, which I find useful on other sites.

Non-electric grass pitch (large)
Liked Clean and tidy, great facilities and nice to have amenities, bar and park close by. Staff were welcoming and helpful
Disliked Better enforcement of rules and sadly some adults smoking by the park (smelt like illegal substances) and dogs off lead despite being told by staff to keep them on lead

Would recommend Blackland Lakes as it has a lot to offer.
Non-electric grass pitch (small)
Liked Excellent value for money, the amenities were clean with good hot water, the entertainment at Sam's bar on a Friday night great, the staff friendly, and site well maintained.
Disliked Wish there was a freezer, or three, available somewhere as it was very hot, for ice or to keep my freezer packs cold. And wish the tap pressure out of one or two of the taps had been gentler so I didn't get soaked by the strong jet of water flowing out. Also heard some campers unsure of where to put recycled items.
