Nice site; spacious and clean
Powered grass campsite (medium)
Liked We enjoyed our stay at Blackland Lakes. The staff we met were all friendly and helpful. There was plenty of places to go in the local area including National Trust properties. We loved the nearby town of Calne which has a great park and an interesting Heritage Centre.
The toilet blocks were ok, one a little more tired than the other.
Disliked Communication was not great when the site suffered a power cut... Not their fault of course and was stressful for staff, but it would have been good if they had kept us more informed and offered support for us campers who were left unable to cook a meal etc.
One thing that is missing is the facility to refreeze cool packs... Not a big thing but something that would make a big difference to many campers.
The toilets and shower block did get rather messy and dirty between what appeared to be a daily clean
