Belper, Derbyshire, England
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked We liked how secluded the site felt although it is just a few hundreds yards from the busy A6. Big field with lots of level areas. Nice friendly owners. Great for walking, we walked along the canal in to Cromford where there's a chippy and pubs, The Boat Inn and the small promenade next to the lake are very nice. A pizza van was there too in the market place area. About an hour and a quarter for the 3.5 mile walk. Also walked to the very top of the farm past the 'Hand of God' where the views are fantastic. Toilets and showers available which is great. Ideal for a relaxing weekend stay.

Liked Peaceful tranquil site with nature all around, sheep in the next field, our cocker Poppy was watching on from a distance, but very respectful, she loved it here too.
Great walk across the fields to The Old Dog where we had a pint and a wine but no food, maybe next time.

Sutton on Sea, Lincolnshire, England
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Good sized pitch, plenty of space, good value fees per night, walks into Sutton and Mablethorpe.
Disliked Not the prettiest of sites yet but still feels it's being developed. Would benefit from more shrubs/trees in the touring area.

From the manager: Thanks for staying with us. We can’t win. When we have had trees around we were told it feels to cramped now there isn’t enough. We will never please everyone.

We liked the setting of the site and the walk into Cirencester across the fields was lovely. Very good bus service from the nearby stops into Cheltenham or Cirencester.

Liked Lovely setting, great shower block, excellent leisure centre next door-there is a charge but reasonable with site discount card. Nice reception and ground staff.
Disliked Top field on quite a slope, layout of pitches not great. Bar staff a little unwelcoming.

Electric touring pitch
Liked Lovely site, well laid out, peaceful and quiet. Good access to beach, local pubs and chippy, local Morrisons and McDonalds(5-10min walk). Decent swimming pool outdoors and heated. Pool and table tennis in the club to keep the kids entertained. Helpful staff, clean shower block(regularly serviced). Nice sized pitches in attractive green surroundings.
Disliked Could do with a rubbish enclosure on the touring site near the shower block, no re-cycling as far as I could tell, just skips. Longer swimming pool hours in peak summer would be good (closes at 5pm). Limited shower block facilities - one small shower and one toilet cubicle not really sufficient (gents) The block is nice and clean but seems flimsy like a converted portacabin.

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Very peaceful and relaxing, it's a working farm so the next field is a cow field and you get the occasional mooo which is nice. Well maintained and tidy. Very welcoming owners, Wendy explained all the local places of interest, places to eat, pubs etc. Foxton Locks is a lovely place to visit, we walked there from the site, took about a hour, very pleasant on a lovely warm day.
Disliked Maybe more general and recycling bins as the one of each soon filled up.

London, Greater London, England
Liked A cheap way to be close to London, just 20 mins on train from Ponders End.
Good hardstanding plots decent shower / facility block. Good staff in reception/shop.
Football golf + golf course next to site. W8 bus for returning back to site from London train - get off train at Edmonton Green, bus station opposite, W8 goes straight to Lee Valley site. Cinema next to site.
Disliked Not very attractive site or area, surroundings a bit industrial but didn't spend much time there so that was ok.
No local pub or restaurant on the leisure complex.
