What customers say
This is a back-to-basics farm campsite with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. Reviewers consistently praise the friendly and helpful owners, the cleanliness of the facilities (toilets, showers, and washing-up area), and the excellent value for money. While the sloping field is frequently mentioned, most guests found it manageable, and some noted its rustic charm. The location is ideal for local walks and exploring nearby attractions. Fire pits are available for hire.

Liked If you like walks then there's plenty directly from the campsite across public footpaths, recommend the walk to wirksworth with some great pubs. Great phone signal so I was able to work during my stay. Really enjoyed my time here and plan to come back soon.

Just what I was looking for as solo traveller on a budget.
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked I was looking for back to basics and good value. This provided all the facilities I required, well maintained and clean. Decent showers. Nice touches like providing washing up stuff (that I'd forgot)
Disliked No dislikes but it might be an idea to have a hardcore path to top of field. You get mighty wet shoes walking to the loo.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Good size pitches, facilities are good enough for camping, toilets, showers, drinking water. Owners are lovely too, Tina and her family were very kind, my wife lost her engagement ring at camp and they helped us find it.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Beautiful, clean ground conditions in a stunning location. Extremely good value for money. I massively am impressed and grateful for the bargain prices here as it gives families and people access to a lifestyle that normally is very expensive. A brilliant little peaceful slice of heaven in the beautiful surroundings of Derbyshire.
Disliked Nothing. There isn't anything that could have been better.

Really lovely, peaceful stay at Hankin…
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Really lovely, peaceful stay at Hankin Farm. I felt very safe as a solo female camper. The lady at check-in was warm and welcoming, and everything was straightforward.
Facilities were basic and clean, and the site itself was quiet despite quite a few people staying on the Friday night I was there.
Would definitely stay again.
