Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Amazing pitch. Nice and level lots. Many trashbins, many waterstations, friendly staff, cctv at the entrance. Except for the toilets and bathrooms, it was an amazing camping pitch.

Disliked Small, dated and dirty toilets and showers

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Easy to find, Closest place we could get to London.

Disliked Pitches very close together, toilet and shower blocks not the cleanest, wall between the shower I used and the one next to me just about hanging on, water in the shower was really cold, nettles all around our pitch, toilet waste disposal room was filthy (don’t expect it to be spotless but at least a little upkeep throughout the day), quite noisy through the night.

Woodland cabin (no pets)

Liked It has loads of stuff in the cabin such as crockery, cutlery, pans, tea towel etc. The place was nice and clean with the bums being emptied regularly and people checking the toilets. It was quiet (apart from the people next to us) and the shop had everything in it, I was asked by reception staff if there was anything they're missing from the shop that I felt they could stock. I saw pretty much everything. (I didnt see phone chargers) I also loved that it was mostly empty with no tents, so maybe it would've got noisier in peak times.

Disliked I didn't like the location. I thought I'd booked sewardstone. I was hoping for some kind of forest and I should've been more aware of this. My 9 year old grandson said this : "I did t like the toilets location and the TV lagged on certain channels and there's nothing to do".
there was also nothing at the cinema suitable for our group and we couldn't walk to the places that were recommended to do.

Local attractions

London, of course… get into the city in under an hour from the local station, Edmonton Green – trains run from here towards Liverpool Street station, gateway to the hundreds of things to see and do around the city. Those who've come to escape city throngs will happily find many activities available in the Lee Valley, Hertfordshire and Essex, from gentle walking and cycling trails to adrenaline-raising whitewater rafting or family paddling on the Olympic course at the Lee Valley White Water Centre (where the canoe slalom events were held during London 2012). Seasonal fishing is available in the area if you prefer a more placid pursuit, or you could take the crew along to Lee Valley Park Farms at Waltham Abbey, to meet meerkats, llamas, reindeer and other non-native (and native) critters, watch events like falconry displays and pig and lamb racing, or let the kids loose to career around one of the four adventure play areas. The 1,000 acres of River Lee Country Park should sort those who want to see critters in their natural habitat, as well as those who want to walk, cycle, or get out into the water in a canoe, rowing boat, electric boat or pedalo.
