Location. Great for cycling and walking. My daughter and I were there for 10 days and I only used the car once. Everything we wanted was within cycling distance. Also, I think the site manager was amazing, she couldn't have been more helpful.

The site was very clean and tidy with the pitch being large with lots of space between them. All amenities where well located around the site.
The site was easy to find and signposted off the main road, even though its situated behind a cinema complex. Not that you would know that once on site !
Fantastic location for travelling to London,if you want to stay more local, lots to do in the area.

    Disliked:

The toilet block could do with a little update.
Showers could use a small wall mounted holder for shampoo, gel etc... and something to put clean clothes on in each cubical.

Love this place, been staying here for a good few years now. It is the gateway to London for me and enables my annual pilgramage.

Been staying more in the pods than camping, should check out tge other facilities more.

It is simply a tranquil green oasis of the sprawling mayhem that is London.

I'll keep going until I cannot.

Local attractions

London of course… get into the city in under an hour from Lee Valley Camping and Caravan Park's local station of Edmonton's Silver Street towards Charing Cross, Oxford Circus and Liverpool Street and the hundreds of things to see and do around the city.

Those who've come to escape city throngs will happily find many activities available in the Lee Valley, Hertfordshire and Essex, from gentle walking and cycling trails to adrenaline-raising whitewater rafting or family paddling on the Olympic course at the Lee Valley White Water Centre (where the canoe slalom events were held during London 2012).

Seasonal fishing is available in the area if you prefer a more placid pursuit, or you could take the crew along to Lee Valley Park Farms at Waltham Abbey, to meet meerkats, llamas, reindeer and other non-native (and native) critters, watch events like falconry displays and pig and lamb racing, or let the kids loose to career around one of the four adventure play areas.

The 1,000 acres of River Lee Country Park should sort those who want to see critters in their natural habitat, as well as those who want to walk, cycle, or get out into the water in a canoe, rowing boat, electric boat or pedalo.
