Liked "Our stay was delightful with impeccably clean and well-maintained facilities, making it comfortable and pleasant. The staff ensured that we had everything we needed in a warm and welcoming manner. The level pitches offered a convenient setup, and being local to White Hart Lane was a huge bonus as we were seeing Beyoncé. Great facilities and a wonderful experience that exceeded our expectations—we'd happily return!"

Liked Me and my partner stayed on a hard standing pitch. Great size pitches, some have picnic benches. The facilities are clean, and of a decent size. Hot water was very hot which is amazing especially for cleaning dishes. The owners are very polite however keep themselves to themselves which is what we like. Great place to stay as a cheap alternative to exploring London. Train station 10 minutes walk from the site.

Disliked Becareful of Foxes, there’s signs all over the site about foxes. They like to pinch shoes, rubbish etc so make sure you don’t leave anything outside during the night for them to pinch. The WiFi, I never managed to connect to it as the server isn’t secured. Just thoughts to be wary about.

Liked Location was good for us. We wanted somewhere close to home to nip back and forth having dogs and a 1 year old. Theres quite a few activities nearby too. Facilities kept clean and tidy. Only 4 showers in the ladies.

Disliked Lots of golfers walking past the tent. The tent field with electric is in between the entrance to the golf, so there was quite a bit of foot traffic. Not ideal for us as we have a reactive dog.

Liked The site, friendly staff, nice and quiet and close to transport networks.

Disliked Showers not very warm, cold water for dishwashing in the evenings and litter throughout the site. No plastic recycling bins and the site internet was very poor. There were also some cars meeting in a car park close by. Did not hear much but did hear them racing and doing doughnuts one evening.

Local attractions

London, of course… get into the city in under an hour from the local station, Edmonton Green – trains run from here towards Liverpool Street station, gateway to the hundreds of things to see and do around the city. Those who've come to escape city throngs will happily find many activities available in the Lee Valley, Hertfordshire and Essex, from gentle walking and cycling trails to adrenaline-raising whitewater rafting or family paddling on the Olympic course at the Lee Valley White Water Centre (where the canoe slalom events were held during London 2012). Seasonal fishing is available in the area if you prefer a more placid pursuit, or you could take the crew along to Lee Valley Park Farms at Waltham Abbey, to meet meerkats, llamas, reindeer and other non-native (and native) critters, watch events like falconry displays and pig and lamb racing, or let the kids loose to career around one of the four adventure play areas. The 1,000 acres of River Lee Country Park should sort those who want to see critters in their natural habitat, as well as those who want to walk, cycle, or get out into the water in a canoe, rowing boat, electric boat or pedalo.
