Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The play park being right near our tent pitch, it helped with packing and putting up the tent.
The lady went over the best spots to pitch up regarding young kids she couldn’t be more helpful.
Disliked The hill hike to the toilet but it is what it is.

Woodland Premium lodge (hot tub, pet friendly)
Liked Campsite was great, child friendly with a playground. It was a good base for exploring the Peak District.
Disliked There weren’t any cleaning materials in the lodge which I thought was odd/ should have been mentioned. If they didn’t want to provide the soap then fine, but I would have expected a cloth to be able to clean the dishes with. There weren’t any oven trays either.

We are glad to see that your family enjoyed their stay on site and the surrounding areas which are beautiful. We hope we can welcome you back in the future.
We do not provide toiletries on site, this is something we can look at for the future. the kitchen does come with a washing up sponge and scourer for washing the dishes. The grill pan does double up as baking tray.
Thank you for your feedback we will look at the points you raised to improve our guest experience.
Overall, the site was great, and we would come back
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked site was great
Disliked The toilet block was shut in the middle, and the caravan chemical toilet was blocked and smelt of urine and was leaking all over the path

We apologise for the chemical waste, we were made aware and the tank was emptied the same day within the hour.

Liked Lovely views, excellent showers and toilets. Decent price for facilities offered.
Disliked Not made to feel very welcome on arrival and beyond; more interested in enforcing rules than wishing us and hoping we have a good weekend.

We are sorry to see that you will not return again in the future.
When we check guests in we do give a map and basic information regarding site rules. We have found in the past that guests do not read this and are then not aware of our site rules, we are now pointing out the important ones on check in, we are sorry if you felt this unwelcoming it was not our intention, we are trying to make every guests stay comfortable.
Thank you for the feedback we will try and deliver check in more positively and we wish you well in your future travels.
Not great, not too bad, good value pitches, you get what you pay for!
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The weather, the food vans in the evening
Disliked The main negatives for us were the somewhat over-officious approach of some of the staff and the unpleasant smell from the chemical toilet disposal area.
In particular, a member of staff came to our pitch at 10.01pm and told us to be quiet and to “have some respect for the other campers” because we were apparently making too much noise beyond the curfew. This felt unnecessarily confrontational, particularly as the music curfew was 10.00pm but the campsite’s quiet curfew was not until 11.00pm. We felt the situation could have been handled in a much friendlier and more proportionate way.
There was also a noticeable and unpleasant smell coming from the chemical toilet disposal facilities, which affected the surrounding area.

We are sorry to see that you will not be staying with us again.
when we spoke to you regarding the excessive noise, we were responding to many complaints from fellow campers who had experienced excessive noise through the evening from yourselves and up to 10.00pm. Our quiet time starts at 10pm and we do allow quiet chatter that does not impact on others until 11pm. We spoke to you at just turned 10pm as other campers may have got involved and we wanted to prevent this situation occurring. We are sorry if when we spoke to you, you found this offensive.
Thank you for your feedback and we wish you well in your future travels.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Enjoyed our stay and would come again. Clean toilet block. Great little shop. Nice park and woodland area for children.
Disliked The website needs to state no bikes or scooters allowed on site so people don’t fetch them. Cars drive round too fast. Pitch’s need marking out properly. The person who had pitch before us was too far over which made our pitch really tight.
Recommend to friends Visit again
Would visit again but be more selective of pitch numbers
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Lovely friendly site staff, clean toilets & facilities
Disliked Sloped pitches so when it rains it runs all the chalk from the driveways on awnings etc

Playground…
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Playground
Disliked Thought there'd be usable woods with fire pits as advertised on the campsite. Pitch was not flat which meant limited choice for non electric.

We are sorry to see you will not return in the future.
We are also sorry that you were unable to use a fire pit whilst you were with us, as you can appreciate the grounds and woods surrounding are tinder dry. We took note of the Alert sent by our government on behalf of the fire service not to allow any charcoal BBQs or open flames which could cause fire. The governments alert over road our website and has been accepted by most guests as a sensible response to the prevention of fire taking over the site and surrounding woodlands.
We will continue to risk assess the use of fire pits.
Thank you for your feedback we wish you well in your future travels.
