What customers say
Riddings Wood Holiday Park offers a peaceful woodland setting with generally clean and well-maintained facilities. Visitors frequently praise the friendly and helpful staff, spacious pitches, and good value for money. The park is well-located for exploring the local area and offers woodland walks. While most guests enjoy the site, some mention that pitches can be sloped, and there are occasional comments about the distance to facilities from certain pitches and the need for more frequent cleaning during peak times.

Amazing Stay
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Everything.... we love this site think this is our 5th stay and we'll be back.Amazing stay, lovely warm welcome.... nothing is ever too much trouble...we booked electric hook up as last one available to book online but asked to go on the field (non electric) and no surprise "no problem go make yourself at home". Lovely clean facilities and a pop up pizza oven on site...thank you once again and see you soon :)
Disliked Having to pack up and go home :(

Excellent stay. Would stay again. Kids had a blast.
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Quiet.
We were situated on the bottom field by the kids park which was perfect for us with children.
Strict rules of children to be off the park at 10pm which was perfect for us to get some shut eye.
Disliked Only 1 drinking water tap for the site.
Toilet and wash facilities clean though no paper towels and hand dryers turned off.
Lady on reception not very welcoming however the gentleman was more friendly.

Great site for a weekend away
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked We really enjoyed our stay over the weekend. This site is really nice, the toilets/showers were very clean and the water in the showers was hot! It’s in a lovely area with some nice local pubs and walks to go on
Disliked The pitches with electric are really close together and many people made the same comments

Not a site for couples more of a family tent camping site .
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked The managers very friendly.
Disliked Everything else about the site. Hard standing pitches poorly maintained and slipped so difficult to level van . Campers in bottom field thinking it was acceptable to walk thru your pitch . Not enough facilities for the number of pitches . 5 toilet cubicles , 4 showers and 4 hand wash basins . Siting of toilet showers poor as sited at entrance to site so quite a walk from most of pitches . Not a site I would recommend for couples looking for a quiet getaway for a weekend as was very busy with families.

Site was quiet on a night…
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Site was quiet on a night even though it was busy.
Disliked Rubbish on our pitch when we arrived including a dead bird and dog poo. Toilet block small, busy and not particularly clean.

The unit we stayed in was…
Woodland lodge (hot tub, premium)
Liked The unit we stayed in was secluded, and had a good hot tub. It is really pricey for what you get. Also, there was no wifi available.
Disliked The cleanliness wasn't up to scratch. Dirty barbecue grill. Dirty dishes and dirty floors.

Ok but not among the best we’ve been to
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Location
Disliked The gravel road around the site was poorly maintained and sounded like quite a few vehicles had hit their exhausts. The toilet block was clean at the start but gradually got worse over the weekend.

All in all a wonderful stay,
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Fantastic 2 night stay at riddings, checked in to be greeted by a lovely lady, we had been allocated a pitch which was in very busy part of the park but she gave us an alternative pitch in a much quieter part of the park which we duly took.. although most pitches are on a hill it wasn't too much a problem, nothing a piece of cardboard wouldn't sort. Facilities were spot on, clean and functional. Slushes in reception were a godsend in the heat and so nice not to have to cook with catering trucks popping up both Friday and Saturday night.. Few games for the girls to play up by reception which kept them busy and a lovely park although my girls are a little bit too old for it..
No WiFi but good phone signal, hotpot worked perfectly for movie night 👌
Would definitely stay again, nice location, have a walk in the woods and visit the only thatched roof pub in Derbyshire.. 👍
Disliked Sloping pitches in the EHU part of the park, although we managed. No WiFi, not a dislike but something people should be made aware off..
