  • Great local walks in the surrounding area
  • Dogs are very welcome and free of charge

Woodlands Caravan Park is situated in a coastal area of outstanding natural beauty in North Norfolk. With excellent modern facilities and a tranquil coastal setting, this campsite is the perfect choice for a touring caravan stay in Norfolk.

The campsite has a clubhouse providing on-site entertainment (peak season only), serving a selection of really good pizzas (available as eat-in or takeaway). Adults can relax and enjoy a drink in the comfortable lounge bar, whilst there is also an additional family bar area where mum and dad are welcome to bring the children.

Facilities include a state of the art shower block and toilet facilities (including disabled and baby changing), featuring the comfort and convenience of underfloor heating. Children especially will love the large enclosed safe play area with climbing frames, swings and slides where they can enjoy plenty of space to run, play and burn off a little of that excess energy.

An indoor swimming pool can be enjoyed any day as it is open all year round (extra charges apply). There are also laundry facilities and a well stocked shop selling a range of groceries, camping accessories, newspapers, ice cream, etc.

Woodlands Caravan Park also has a number of on-site amenities to keep everyone in the family amused and entertained.

Please note

Indoor swimming pool: access to the swimming pool is not included in the rate and is charged £4 per adult and £3.50 per child per session.

A super site totally spoilt by overcrowding. I will not be back. 17/08/2017

Cleanliness, tidiness, friendly, helpful staff. Toilet block was smart and well laid out and kept immaculate. Granddaughter thought that the playground was brilliant.

All this and a bar that served real ale!

    There is, however, a however.

    Disliked:

The pitches were ridiculously small and far too close together. Felt a distinct lack of privacy and I don't like having to walk through other people's pitches to get anywhere. Many people were noted to have difficulty extracting their outfits when moving off, and I had to ask a neighbour to move his car to let me out at end of stay.
He did, in fact, have two cars on site, so perhaps some enforcement in that direction is called for.

    Beautiful woodlands surrounding the park.
    Well maintained grass pitches.
    Excellent shower & toilet facilities.
    Relaxed family atmosphere
Ease of picking your own spot to pitchup.
Swimming pool with sauna & steam room
    Bar & shop.
Night time 'Quiet time' rule 10.30pm to 7.30pm.

    Disliked:

Some of the pitches are on a slope.
£11.50 for family of three to go swimming- this was discounted rate...if you're there for ten days & wanted to swim everyday that's quite an extra wedge of cash you need.

A spotless well maintained site which was a pleasure to use. 12/08/2017

The site as a whole was well maintained and clean and a nice environment to stay in. There are some fantastic walks around the site and it is also child and dog friendly which is an advantage. The facilities which include a toilet and shower block, waste facilities etc were always clean.
The on site shop is small and basic but it stocked all of the essentials that you may need or have forgotten to bring. There is also a bar with entertainment provided which I didn't try so I can't give an accurate review on this but I can't see any reason why this would be below the high standards already set.
Sheringham is only a 10 minute drive away which has a large supermarket and many small shops which is helpful for all of the small gifts that you are expected to take back. Norwich isn't too far away either.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and I can't think of any reason why nobody else would.

    Disliked:

My only minor gripes are that I managed to pick a pitch that had enough of a slope on it to cause levelling issues for my caravan, but this was only minor and a couple of bricks sorted this out.
They also have little concrete pads where your nose wheel has to sit, which is a good idea so that all of the caravans etc are lined up neatly but they are very difficult to see, so maybe if they were painted white it would make life a little easier.
The above points are very minor and did not detract from a very enjoyable stay.
