  • Family park near the north Norfolk coast, three miles from Sheringham
  • Walkers' paradise with easy access to wide uncrowded beaches
  • Playground, clubhouse, lounge bar, family bar and shop
Take your wheels along for scenic stays in a peaceful coastal setting in a National Landscape at Woodlands Caravan Park, a smart modern site with stacks to do for all ages. When you’re not out and about venturing around the Norfolk coast and inland – famed Sheringham beach is three miles away from here and both Norwich and the Broads within easy reach for day trips – the park is a comfy base to keep all fed, watered and entertained. There’s a big and enclosed play area with climbing frames, swings and slides; the site also has plenty of room to run around if energy levels are still high afterwards. Options await when it’s time to refuel: a lounge bar for adults with an additional family area, and a clubhouse serving pizzas to eat in or take away (the bar also has regular entertainment on a Saturday night in peak season). The site shop sells groceries and ice cream as well as newspapers and camping bits and pieces; gas and electric barbecues are allowed (no charcoal constructions, ta). Amenities include a well-maintained shower and toilet block with disabled facilities, baby changing and underfloor heating. Woodland is firmly dog friendly too: your dogs can accompany you for a small additional fee. It's also based on a bus route, making transport easy.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked There was absolutely nothing to dislike or complain about. Access was very easy from the road and there was a lovely cool drive through a wooded area to reception. We were greeted in reception by name! So we were impressed from the start. We were told we could find a spot which suited us which we did, very close to the immaculate facilities. The pitch we had was on grass with electric hook up, and the grass was well cut. There were many touring vans there but each space was large. We had 3 pages of information which included a site map and the drinking water was only yards away. Other taps were at regular intervals all round the site. The toilet block was fantastic. It was a large brick built building and contained multiple toilets, basins and showers. We have been on many good sites but this excelled! Everything was sparkling. There were 4 washing machines in a laundry room and there were places to wash up pots with very hot water. All round the site were woods so any road noise was blocked. In fact the whole site was very quiet and peaceful. There was a bar with outdoor seating with umbrellas and a shop. I would highly recommend this site on all the points I have mentioned but there is one other point- the price. We stayed 4 nights for £96 so that is £24 a night. We have stayed at places where it is a good £10 more with very basic facilities so Woodlands was most definitely top rate and an excelllent place to stay. Definitely 10/10

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Great facilities - very clean.
Friendly helpful staff.
Well maintained site.
Good location for visiting many coastal towns.
Lots of facilities to keep all ages happy - play areas, clubhouse, small shop, walks etc

Disliked Personally we prefer a smaller site but that’s not a criticism of this site and we knew what we were getting when we booked! Pitches are quite close together and stringent rules over how to park and which way to face/pitch awning, however this does help to keep everything orderly and working smoothly! Some pitches are in a bit of a slope so have levelling ramps, just incase!!

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked lovely park with very nice staff, play park was good for children and toilet/shower block was kept nice and clean!
very nice walks in the woods with dogs.

Disliked would be nice if there was more food options on site especially for breakfast/lunch - pub & food only 5pm onwards.
bad signal and wifi didn’t work at pitch but that’s not necessarily a bad thing when camping!

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked lovely well maintained site with spacious pitches. immaculate facilities - underfloor heating in the shower/toilet block and loads of fresh hot water. really good location for several places to visit including beaches and parks. Staff were friendly and obviously put a lot of care and effort into keeping the site looking great. one of the best sites we have stayed at, very relaxing!

Disliked nothing really to dislike just observations - wifi was patchy, but if your on holiday you should really be trying to disconnect for a bit! was useful to have for a quick google of things to do near by. not all pitches are level but you have plenty of space to organise yourself with.

Liked Lunch in Sheringham followed by a night at Woodlands. The warmest of welcomes, great facilities and a lovely community feel across the whole site. The onsite pub had me getting all nostalgic for nights on the beers in the early 1980s in the very best of ways, I adored it. Can't wait to come back.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked Well where do I start, the site is spaced out well so you don’t feel on top of your neighbour. A very clean toilet and shower block which is one of the reasons we go to this site . Great dog friendly club and the wood around the sides of the site are really good for walking my dogs. We are hoping to visit again later this year.

Disliked Sorry can’t think of any

Local attractions

This handsome part of Norfolk is part of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, home to swathes of uncrowded beaches for family days, dog walks, watersports and nature spotting. The closest beaches are Sheringham, 35 minutes' walk away, and Cromer (15 minutes' drive), both also home to historic seaside towns drawing visitors to Norfolk seaside hols since Victorian times. Birdwatchers and nature spotters are well placed too: species of all sorts can be spotted around the area as well as at Sheringham and Cromer. The National Trust’s Blakeney National Nature Reserve, 20 minutes’ drive away, is a fine spot to start your ornithological exploits, at its four miles of shingle, sand dunes, mudflats and salt marshes; also try birdwatching around the Cley Marshes (start at the visitor centre in Cley next the Sea, 15 minutes’ drive away), and the Salthouse Marshes a couple of miles east of Cley. For adventures further afield, the shopping, sightseeing, visitor attractions and restaurants of Norwich are 50 minutes away, and the waterways and more wildlife of the Broads within 40.
