Electric grass and gravel pitch
Liked Peaceful site with lovely views from where we parked! Spent the evenings in front of a fire and looking at the stars. The owners dogs were very friendly and came over to us a lot to say hello, very well behaved dogs. Toilets and showers were fine. Quite a walk to get to them from where we were but the toilets are in the perfect place as they’re next to the tent field. We were in the van part which was further away but most vans have their own facilities anyways… we don’t but it wasn’t an issue. Owner would always say hello when he seen us and when we arrived he let us choose where we wanted to pitch. Overall a great stay!

Liked This site is pretty much on a beach and the views are lovely! 2nd time staying on this site as we stayed for a night last year aswel.
Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side this year and it rained pretty much the whole stay but still managed to have a walk on the beach.
It says no toilets but there is 1 portable toilet on the site. Bargain price as well for the views you get!
Disliked Won’t rate down for this as not the owners fault but there was a group of 6 young people on the site and they were very noisy. Had loud music on etc all evening which was a bit annoying

Liked This campsite is in a stunning location. We sat out all night with a bbq and was trying to spot the different birds. Toilet and shower was fine. We didn't actually see the owners or anything on arrival but had clear instruction to park where ever we wanted. Really peaceful!

Liked Campsite was in a nice location. Lady in reception was lovely. The toilets were amazing.
Disliked The advert for the campsite says its peaceful... it was far from it. So many people and kids running riot. Dropping litter everywhere and hitting vehicles with there ball. It was the last night of our holiday. We had a bbq then left as was far to noisy. Ended up driving the 6 hpurs home at 20.00. Not peaceful at all! It gave us a headache. So bare that In mind when booking as its not a peaceful site.

Liked The campsite is in a nice setting. The pitches are really big and it was so quiet we parked by the lochlan for the night. We stayed in our van.
Was very peaceful.
Disliked On arrival there was a sign to say check in at reception. We looked for reception but couldn't find it so Just drove around.... seen a man on a quad bike and asked him and he said he was reception... asked where to pitch and he said anywhere which is fine. Later on we did find reception. Missed it on the way in due to the one way system so maybe a better sign is needed. Were told where toilets were but that was it. Didn't mention anything else like where any other facilities were. Didn't know if the water was safe to drink as no signs on taps to say drinking water. Also on pitch up it states there WiFi. But no information anywhere on what the network is or how to get on. Couldn't phone the number to ask any questions as had no signal and didn't see the man again!
Customer service could've been a lot better. The toilets yes were outdated but I can see from other reviews your going to update these. What I didn't like was the fact they were not cleaned. We arrived at 15.00 and left at 10 in the morning and not once were they cleaned. I know this as there was poo in 2 of the toilets still.... there wasn't many people staying so was clear no one checked toilets.

From the manager: all our other customers managed to find reception, its the only building as you drive in, there as a cafe with a sign, a spa and a reception with a sign outside saying reception, all the arrival instructions are in the window along with wifi details, details about water etc. the toilets are cleaned daily, perhaps it was a different persons poo . our job is not to flush toilets after people, the touring and camping will close on september 2nd permanently as some of the comments have become ridiculous and have spoilt it for the many customers who appreciate the setting and location and the fact its not run like many sites where you are barely allowed to cough . perhaps you should look towards that type of site in future

Liked The campsite is in such a stunning location! We parked right by the beach and it was less than 50 steps till we were standing on the beach. Great views! Despite the rain we still sat outside with a fire pit staring out to sea.

Liked Nice place to pitch up for the night.
Pub does really nice food.
Disliked Only 1 toilet and shower and they are in the same room. When you got 12 pitches this would be a struggle if few don't have toilet or shower on board.

Main Field electric grass and gravel pitch
Liked Nice campsite. Easy access to coverack. Takes less than 10 mins to walk but step coming back up
Disliked I can't complain about it as it clearly states in the description when you book but I didn't like the compost toilets. They smelt horrible and was scary at night and full of spiders. Also didn't find it very practical as me like many others might have their period while away and I found it hard and not very hygienic during this.

Disliked It's not really a dislike but I think it would be good if music wasn't on in the toilets at 5am when your trying not to wake up fully

From the manager: Interesting comment.....so many of our guests have said how much they like the music in the showers. Maybe 5am is a bit early! Thanks for letting us know...we appreciate that. The Blue Hills Team
