Beautiful rural location, yet a short drive to town. Good clean showers and toilets, though water is very hot! A friendly dog comes to greet you!

    Disliked:

Grass was a little long, so very wet with morning dew and pitch was slopping. No sign of the owners in 2 days but we were fine with pitching ourselves. A bit over priced compared to other sites in the area. A long walk to anywhere!

I'd been on the road for 4 hours and arrived at the site about 9.30pm.
On parking up and unloading the camping gear the owner came out in the ending rain and dark to greet me and advise on the facilities.
The 2 toilets there where part of a wooden block. In each toilet was a sink for washing hands and brushing teeth. Very roomy. Then a shower which was basic but all it needed to be. Finally a washing up room for your plates and cutlery etc.
The pitches aren't marked out but the field is plentiful, not all level. It's well sheltered by the trees so major winds shouldn't be to much of a problem. I thought it was a good basic site and worth the pennies.

Lovely small quiet site, top-notch showers 25/08/2016

Friendly welcome to this small, quiet, site. Lovely showers: either electric or push-button with hot water from a combi boiler so as much water as you want. Recently extended toilet block to have a total of two showers and four toilets (one His, one Hers, two unisex).

Nice fire pits, good value wood for burning. Very quiet, well sheltered with a variety of mature trees. We heard owls and saw a bat flying around at dusk.

Handy location, close to main roads and Barnstaple, and only 30 minutes from Woolacombe beach (possibly more at busy times).

    Disliked:

Nothing disliked, but the field has quite a slope, just beyond the limit of our levelling blocks even parked sideways on.

The lanes leading to the site are very narrow and steep, large motor homes might have trouble but our 1978 VW camper van managed fine.
