  • Peaceful Cornwall site with direct access to the South West Coast Path
  • Perranporth, Porthtowan Beach and Truro within 20 minutes' drive
  • Trevellas Cove and St Agnes village within walking distance
You can’t get much closer to Cornwall’s craggy north coast than at Blue Hills Touring Park: this friendly family-oriented site has direct access to the South West Coast Path and is just a few minutes’ walk from dog-friendly Trevellas Cove. Cornwall’s coast is obviously one of its great draws, but the region’s countryside is just as fine – and you’ll be able to admire some of that glorious scenery from the site too. The park sits within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with rural views from the pitches and plenty of footpaths nearby for walks (with a well-behaved dog at your heels if you wish). All of this adds up to a rather fabulous setting – but it doesn’t end there, since there’s also the fact that St Agnes village centre is a handy half-hour or so walk away for pubs, takeaways and shops where you can pick up supplies for a barbecue back at base. If it’s not barbecue weather, don’t panic – the site also has a well-equipped kitchen for guests to use. Other facilities on site include a laundry room, a covered washing-up area, chemical disposal and a smart modern bathroom block with accessible facilities. A play field gives space for kids to let off steam, and there’s also a wetsuit dip-and-hang area for those using the place as a base for surfing adventures.

What customers say

This is a well-maintained, peaceful campsite with friendly, helpful staff. It boasts excellent facilities, including clean toilets and showers, and a useful utilities room with a fridge and microwave. The location is a major highlight, offering easy access to the SW Coast Path for scenic walks and stunning views. While most guests had a positive experience, some noted the narrow access road and occasional WiFi issues. Managers have responded positively to feedback regarding facilities and directions.

Harleys Field fully-serviced grass pitch

Liked Great directions and information pre-arrival. Lovely spacious site with direct access to the South West Coast path for walking or just watching the sunset. Not on a bus route, but there's a cafe/bar on Perranporth Airfield and a shop within walking distance, plus you can get food delivered. Two separate shower and toilet blocks, both kept clean and tidy, as well as a laundry room and communal fridge.

Disliked Wifi was a bit sporadic but I think we were on one of the pitches furthest from the router.

Liked Site was nice. The man on phone said to park up and he would be over to chat and say what’s what but he never came which was a shame.

Disliked Showers in top field were cold but found more in lower field which were warm.

Spitfire non-electric grass tent pitch (backpacker, no cars)

Liked Excellent well kept site. Was well accommodated as a backpacker walking from Lands End to John o groats. Very quiet when I was there in April and the warden on site could not have done more to make me feel welcome. Would definitely stay again. The only thing I would of liked is a pub nearby 😁

Local attractions

If you’ve come to Cornwall for the beaches, you’ve got two good ones within a 15-minute drive. A vast expanse of sand backed by rocky cliffs, Perranporth Beach (five minutes) is home to the Tunes in the Dunes summer music festival. Porthtowan Beach (15 minutes), on the St Agnes Heritage Coast, is also sandy, with a number of rockpools to explore. Both are popular with surfers. For an insight into the history of the region, you can head to the cathedral city of Truro (20 minutes), where the Royal Cornwall Museum displays local artefacts, plus an eclectic collection ranging from minerals to Egyptian sarcophagi. A twice-weekly farmers’ market is the place to stock up on locally grown produce for the barbie back at the site. At the Eden Project (45 minutes), huge biome domes replicate different landscapes, from a Mediterranean garden to a rainforest. And there’s much more here than just recreated natural habitats, with a lively programme of cultural events, including the Eden Sessions music concerts.
