A aimé Had the warmest welcome and given options for my camping spot. Had a very peaceful stay and the facilities were excellent, clean and everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I felt safe being a lone camper with the security barrier in place. I was recommended the walk out to the beautiful views just a few minutes away, perfect for getting on the coast path. Thank you so much for having me. I can’t wait to stay again.

A aimé Facilities were fine. Nice to leave washing up liquid and toilets etc cleaned regularly.

N'a pas aimé We ended up leaving early because the atmosphere just wasn’t welcoming. We’d left a polite message explaining our change of arrival day, but the reply we received was simply, “I just wanna know if you’re coming or not.” When we arrived, there was no greeting, no friendliness — just instructions. After a four‑hour journey and paying a good amount for a well‑earned holiday, a warm welcome makes such a difference.

Later, while quietly throwing a ball for our puppy near our tent with nobody around, we were told to put the dogs on leads, along with a talk about rabbits. We respect rules, but tone matters.

Despite the site being almost empty, another guest was placed just two metres from us. Honestly, the happiest part of the site was the guy who came with the coffee van in the mornings — he was the only person who made us feel welcome.

A aimé Absolutely incredible site , beautiful surroundings , peace and quiet . Very welcoming. Close to the coastal path, and walking distance to the beach. Highly recommended 👌

Just to clarify for other potential guests reading this review:

You were booked onto a pitch designated as a back packer pitch. This pitch has no space for a car and only room for a small back packer tent, and that is the reason the price was reduced compared to other larger pitches.
You arrived in a car with a large tent and when asked politely by the wardens to move to a larger pitch (and pay the appropriate amount) you were unhappy and aggressive. Our wardens work exceptionally hard to ensure our site is clean and welcoming for all our guests and we will not tolerate that sort of behaviour from our guests.

A aimé Really peaceful and well managed campsite. Clean & well managed facilities with great access to local Cornish towns/villages.
We stayed on A4 electric Avenger pitch, unfortunately our hookup cable was too short to reach our tent, but Simon, campsite warden was happy to lend us a longer one for our 5 night stay.
Men’s toilets consisted of 3x toilets, showers & sinks, and for a bank holiday weekend I was surprised at how busy the site was and never any queues for facilities.
I believe there was other facilities on the other field, but never went over there.
Kettle, microwave, roster free to use in the laundry room as well as a large fridge & freezer.

N'a pas aimé No men’s urinals in the toilet block & cannot park car next to pitch on Avenger field.

WiFi in Cornwall is very iffy at the best of times so sorry if it dropped out during your stay. It is often nice to get away from all tech so maybe this was a good thing? Glad you found the site to be clean with good facilities.
