Orcop, Herefordshire, England
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked We really enjoyed this site. It has a very scenic view of the rolling hills with a very well maintained fishing lake (it is not a pond!) that is also used for wild swimming.
Facilities block was very clean tidy.
There is a massive dog area field out the back where you can let your
Dog have a run off the lead.
TV reception was good but our phone reception (o2) was not great, but the site offers a strong wifi connection at a very reasonable rates - there are different packages, but we paid £2 a day which was well worth it for the quality of wifi.
Thanks to Pip was a very friendly and welcoming host.

Disliked No dedicated fishing pitches, lots of trees and bushes around the lakes.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We do not advertise fishing lakes they are more leisure lakes as they are not restocked after the winter flooding.
King's Lynn, Norfolk, England
Electric optional grass touring pitch
Liked Fantastic campsite. Facilities clean and spacious.
Pitches available beside lake which is perfect for fishing.
Lakes are well stocked (but not over stocked) which made it perfect for challenging fishing.
Staff were very friendly.
Brilliant Free wifi. We took our firestick tv along which was handy because we couldn’t get normal tv signal.
We took our dog with us and found a nice walk from the campsite around farmers fields. Which in total was about a mile. We will definitely be going back.
Disliked Not really a dislike, but just budget in an additional charge for electric. We used £5 per day in our motorhome.

Narborough, Norfolk, England
Lakeside electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked A very warm welcome upon arrival from the lady in the shop. She was very friendly, helpful and informative.
Was offered a selection of pitches that were available, choosing pitch 9 that was one of many that were right by the lake.
Had a great couple of days fishing in the well stocked lake.
Friendly day fishermen arrive at 8am each morning, by which time I was already set up with the rod out :)
Was told there was no rush to get off on my last day and to get some extra fishing in if I wanted to (so I did!)
Facilities were very clean and tidy.
All in all, I cant fault Narborough fisheries and would highly recommend it for those who want a quiet break fishing.

Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Very friendly clean site. The shower block was high quality.
Disliked High quality shower, but I am not a fan of coin operated showers.

From the manager: Thank you, when building our facilities we carefully looked at our options of showers and considered our personal experiences of using many other sites. Free showers are usually push button which we didn’t enjoy. Those that were free but quality usually reflected in higher pitch prices to cover the extra expense. With considering our fishery on site as well we decided to offer high quality good pressure showers with a small charge along with a competitive pitch fee giving people the option to use their own facilities or ours at a small charge. Hope to see you both again soon!

Bala, Gwynedd, Wales
Electric hardstanding touring pitch (medium)
Liked Very nice site and a really friendly welcome. The floor heating in the shower/toilet block is a really great. A bonus for me was discovering the Bala railway station so close to the camp :)
A short 15 minute walk to Bala town taking in the lake a view is hardly a chore. I highly recommended this site.
Disliked Nobodys fault and it should really be considered as a plus for the future, but there was some work being done in updating/creating pitches.

From the manager: Thank you for taking your time to leave us a review and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. Apologies if the work upgrading the pitches disturbed you, please come back to make the most of the upgrades when we re-open next season!

Disliked The toilets were very basic, but this was as advertised and the price reflected that, so not a problem.

Clean shower and toilet block.
Very good Wifi and TV coverage
Cafe on site if you need it.

Electric hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch
Liked Nice quiet, remote, clean and friendly site.

Nantwich, Cheshire, England
Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Very clean and tidy. Shower and toilet block immaculate. Hair dryer in shower block.
Helpful staff.
Good email communication before arrival meant that despite us arriving after closing hours we had the gate pass number and our pitch number so it was not a problem.
Disliked Because we arrived after closing time (due to traffic delays) we didn’t get the WiFi password until the following morning as it wasn’t included in the pre arrival email.
The grey water waste couldn’t be drained directly from the motorhome as the drain was not accessible from a drivable position.
The opening time of the reception was not clear for a bank holiday. It turned out it was Sunday hours.
