Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovey campsite, quiet, and in beautiful countryside. The toilet and shower block were kept very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Although this was adjacent to a working farm we weren't disturbed by too much noise and in fact what little farm noise we heard enhanced our stay in the countryside.

An absolute gem
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked This place is an absolute gem, I can’t believe how lucky we were to find it! Pip is a wonderful host and you can tell by the quality of the amenities that not only does she care massively about guest experience but that she is ploughing profit back in to the place. We had a lovely grass pitch with no hook up. Sadly we had an issue with our fridge which made me very nervous about food safety as the weather was roasting. Not only did pip make no judgments on my anxiety but she went out of her way to reassure me and to offer a solution. She let us use her fridge and ice blocks, freeze our own and use her address to order a replacement cable from amazon and a delivery grocery shop! And then there is Will. What a gem of a human and an asset to the camp and to Pips team. He helped fit the cable. To those in doubt, the ladies washrooms are spotless, the lake is a lake not a pond, the WiFi is amazing, the grounds are spotless, and you could hear a pin drop day and night. We brought our dogs and I honestly think they had the best time too. The exercise field it outstanding, agai, a small fee for your dog to stay that is put straight back in to the place. It’s a 7 hour drive for us in Scotland but I am already trying to figure out my next stay. Thank you Pip and Will, we left relaxed and refreshed.

Lovely site and facilities.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Great spacious, clean and tidy site and facilities and views, and fishing/swimming lake. Manager was welcoming and informative. Local area beautiful. In the absence of phone/data signal, good value wifi available.
Disliked More suited to caravans and camper vans than tents... lots of early morning farm animal noise meant dawn wake ups. Earplugs advisable. But there are worse ways to wake. And I knew it was a farm site. So not a complaint just advice.

From the manager: Thank you for your review hope you come again, just to address the animal sounds we do obviously state we are a working farm and as such they will be animal sounds but in this instance there we new cattle to the farm and did make more noise than you would usually hear.

Liked We really enjoyed this site. It has a very scenic view of the rolling hills with a very well maintained fishing lake (it is not a pond!) that is also used for wild swimming.
Facilities block was very clean tidy.
There is a massive dog area field out the back where you can let your
Dog have a run off the lead.
TV reception was good but our phone reception (o2) was not great, but the site offers a strong wifi connection at a very reasonable rates - there are different packages, but we paid £2 a day which was well worth it for the quality of wifi.
Thanks to Pip was a very friendly and welcoming host.
