We jest, of course, for there are veritable heaps of sights to see in the Languedoc. It’s the most southern region in mainland France and has the Med to one side for beaches, watersports and tanning one’s person (try the eight kilometre stretch of the award-winning sands at Torreilles for proper basking). Languedoc-Roussillon camping will also put you in easy reach of mountains, forests, museums, the medieval castles of Cahors Country, the historic UNESCO city of Carcassonne and cities such as Montpellier, traditional Béziers and Roman Nîmes – check the ‘Local attractions’ tab of each Languedoc campsite for info and ideas.
