What customers say
This family-friendly campsite offers spacious pitches and a relaxed atmosphere with animals, a play area, and bouncy castles. Visitors praised the friendly staff, good value for money, and convenient on-site shop and food options. While some found facilities basic, many noted improvements. The nearby canal and village offer pleasant walks. Train noise is present but generally not an issue for most.

Great for kids to play and run free
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked We could choose where we wanted to pitch. We chose to stay opposite the kids play area, which was brilliant. Kids loved the goats and birds. Showers, washing up area & toilets were clean. Great little shop where the kids could get ice creams, although an ice cream van did come round a few times too. There was a bar & lots of seating. Pizza was good too but sadly ran out when my brother arrived, which wasn’t a problem as there was a nearby Pizza Hut and I think they needed up getting more dough. Great walk along the canal from the campsite to a lovely pub. I would definitely stay here again.
Disliked We did notice the train going past a few times but we knew about it from reading the reviews, just remember your ear plugs.

For a weekend get together with friends it was perfect. We’ll be back!
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Convenient location for us and various friends to reach after work on a Friday. Walking distance of a couple of pubs, but also a good outside area for the onsite bar & food.
There was a group of us which included motorhomes and tents but as we weren’t on hook up we could camp in the non electric fields where we wanted and all together which was ideal.
Campsite allows camp fires which is great.

Overall, we liked it here and there was a lot to do for the children!
6-amp electric grass pitch
Liked The Bouncing castles, children’s play area, animals and location were all fantastic. The site is very well presented and clean. There was a bar and shop on site serving food.
Disliked There was no ‘quiet time’ like in other sites we have visited. We were next to people in tents that were still playing music loudly at 11-12pm.

From the manager: Quiet time is advertised from 9pm, and I enforce from 10pm. I asked a few campers on my 10pm walkabout to turn music off, and half an hour later at 11pm didn’t come across any offenders. Not to say they didn’t see me coming and I couldn’t hear the music from a distance - which is rare. However my number is readily available and advertised to help in these situations, unfortunately I can only help if I’m aware of a situation.
