This was a last-minute booking for…
10-amp electric grass pitch
Liked This was a last-minute booking for us while travelling back from France, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised and ended up booking a second night.
The site was busy when we arrived but it quietened down nicely around 9pm. The food available was great quality and reasonably priced. The shop and bar is a fantastic bonus, with a well stocked shop that provides pretty much everything you may need. The toilets were clean and quirky. The showers were clean too, although they could do with a little freshen up, a coat of paint, but nothing major. The goats and birds are also a cute, quirky addition.
The extra night also gave us the perfect opportunity to visit Clarkson’s Farm and Pub, which was a great bonus and made the stopover even more worthwhile.
Overall, a really good find for a last-minute stop and somewhere we’d happily stay again.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Friendly people. Small shop and bar serving food.
You can sit in the shade and charge your phone for free. You can also freeze your cool packs.
Disliked The campsite was fully booked, and at that time there weren't enough showers and toilets—and they certainly weren't clean anymore. On quieter days, however, it was really clean.
The accessible toilet and shower shared the same space as the family shower. As a result, it wasn't always accessible to me as a person with a disability

Liked There was lots of space , the bouncy castles were a great touch and free. The pizzas were lovely and a good price.
Disliked The bouncy castles were a great touch its just a shame that some boys were playing rough jumping at the sides and into other children.

6-amp electric grass pitch
Liked de ruimte en het gedrag van de vele medecampeerders.
Disliked De douches. 3 stuks voor ruim 120 plekken is te weinig. Daarnaast zijn de douches slecht geconstrueerd.
