What customers say
This family-friendly campground has spacious sites, clean restrooms, and a relaxed vibe. Kids love the playground, bouncy houses, and goats. On-site shop, bar, and kitchen are great. Enjoy lovely walks. Some noted train noise; facilities are basic but good for the price. Great value, guests will return.

6-amp powered grass campsite
Liked Nettes Personal.

Amazing site for the kids
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Bouncy castles, park and goats you can feed. There is a bar £4.50 a pint which is cheap, hot food , and a shop - kids ice creams only £1! Staff really helpful, Fab little site.free WiFi near the bar area too

Lovely little place
16-amp powered grass campsite
Liked Loved it, great little site, plenty of space for us and our tent & car. Beautiful area to have as a base. The nightsky was so clear! Pubs were both in walking distance (literally 15 minutes along the road, 30 if you go the canal)
Reception guy when we arrived was super friendly and helpful (goes to aston uni) pizza dude (had tattoos) made a most delicious pizza and chips! Sorry im rubbish with names.
Train going past yes it was loud but also amused us greatly because I hadn't read it was near a train track 😆 didnt bother us.
Rabbits, lots of birds including owls and buzzards galore.
We absolutely loved it there and will definitely be back in the future.
Disliked Think you need more showers/toilets and sadly we couldnt but breakfast but apart from that the main and only issue we really had were other peoples children running round screaming and cycling bikes at 11.30pm is not funny when you're just trying to relax.. know its not the sites issue.. but do think the parents should have been spoken too as I know we weren't the only people to moan.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. FYI the family was spoken to, many times, and given their last warning. However we were not made aware of their behaviour until till doing our rounds late at night. We’re always available to let us know of antisocial behaviour.
Ok for a few nights
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Nice big field for kids to run around in. Food and car were nice. Large teepees to sit under with food and drink.
Disliked Facilities need an upgrade. Feels like you are brushing your teeth in the toilets, not enough sinks.
We were told they were strict about noise after 9pm but this didn’t happen and the site, though not very busy, was very noisy.
Site said we ‘might’ hear trains. They were constant and beeped their horns every time they went past all night!

Nice but not great. Let down by cleanliness +lack of food availability
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Good for kids with animals and play area. Bar for adults is an added bonus!
Disliked Family shower room was very dirty during our visit and no toilet paper at times.
We expected to be able to purchase breakfast on the morning of departure to save washing up again before we left but when we asked to put in an order we were told ‘oh we are not doing breakfast today’ and the night before we wanted to grab some easy dinner but were told they weren’t cooking the items from the children’s menu.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Great value for money. Facilities are good. Park is great and a real beacon for kids to head to.
Reception area has improved since I’d last been with an amazing feature known as a bar! Pleasant surprise.
Love seeing the goats and birds. Even had the pleasure of watching some birds of prey over the fields. Not sure if they were the owners birds being let out to stretch their wings as there’s a few in the area anyway.
Tip if you’ve not been before the main toilet block has running hot water whilst the smaller toilet block in the field only has cold.
All the staff are helpful and friendly.
Even though I visited in school holidays and the site was full on the Saturday you wouldn’t know it when settling down for the night. Lovely and quiet.
Will definitely be returning and might even stop off for a coffee or a beer when next heading over that way.
Plenty of people had been there for 5+ nights which says a lot really.

Highly recommended campsite with onsite pygmy goats whats not to love!
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Fantastic setup, friendly service and everything onsite to make your stay a stress free experience. Great food available, especially the pizzas and everything is reasonably priced in the shop and bar.
Disliked Not a negative, but could do with some more bins placed around the site given the popularity and time of year.
