Vom Platzbetreiber: Unfortunately gale force winds were the reason for the bouncy castle having to go down. This is governed by insurance and general health and safety guide lines.

Positiv After reading some of the reviews we were a little hesitant but we only wanted to come an hour away to test our tent and make sure it was the right choice for our family. We didn’t get disturbed by the cargo trains, we didn’t hear a cockerel in the mornings, the goats didn’t smell/keep us awake or wake us up and staff was friendly - despite some of the other comments.

- Clean toilet area
- Good washing up station
- Shop had a few essentials onsite but there was an M&S 10 mins away and also a Tesco Extra not too far either. Also a Go Outdoors which we used multiple times as it was our first time camping.
- Staff were very helpful and at the other end of the phone when needed (our tent broke whilst we was there and they let us discard it on their site and pitch our new one for the last night and day we was there
- Freedom and space for the kids to run round safely
- Little park area for the kids to play on
- Birds singing in the morning was really nice to hear
- Clean paths and pitches which made it easier as first time campers.

Negativ - Others not cleaning the toilets after themselves with toilet brushes provided then moaning about the toilets.
- large group partying until 1/2am and not being considerate for others when ‘quiet hours’ was between 9pm and 7am to be respectful (staff helped and rectified this issue very quickly).
- Could do with a little update .. however they was doing maintenance whilst we was on site (not disturbing us but you could see they was putting effort in to make repairs/upgrades)
- I personally didn’t like that there wasn’t someone on site as it was a little busy and it just would of made me feel a little more at ease but they did let us know it would be ‘unmanned’ throughout the night and we could contact them if needed.

Positiv This is a very relaxed site with kids playing happily well into the evening on the play equipment. There are also goats for them to see. Cropredy just a few mins walk away is very pretty. Very friendly owner.

Negativ The shower went stone cold for 60 seconds every few minutes.

The smell of entire goat was very strong!

I couldn't find anywhere to fill up the van with water..had to drive around until I found a water tap on a hard standing pitch and use that.

It all just a bit shabby. Feels like it could do with a massive tidy up and clean. It has the potential to be first class but misses the mark.

Positiv Great relaxed site with a warm welcome. Children loved the playground and the goats were a big hit. Good facilities. Very nice indoor seating area with woodburners. Short walk into the village for pubs etc and takeaway deliveries available. Pleasant dog walk alongside the canal. We would definitely camp again in the summer and enjoy the cafe/bar/pizzas when open.

Negativ We visited on a busy Bank Holiday Easter weekend and the kitchen/cafe was not open so no food/pizzas etc available. Shop wasn't terribly well stocked for food (bacon & 1 milk left). You could walk into the village for pub grub or order takeaway but no shop in the village. Perhaps let folks know in advance that no food will be available so they can plan in advance.

Positiv Had a really good weekend even though campsite was busy it was still quiet, plenty of water points, showers and toilets clean shop open and fair priced. Park,goats and WiFi was a bonus point

Negativ Shower and toilet could do with a little update but was still clean and loved to rustic vibe.
