The Old Dairy Farm Caravan and Camping

Tyckte om Good location. We were pitched on no6&7 well stocked shop. Food looked good. Toilets were clean. Loved the Goats and the birds in the Avery’s. Good that there was water at each pitch and good pressure too

Tyckte inte om The pitches were ok only downfall was that you could feel where the caravans and motor homes have been parked as there were wheel track divots everywhere. So found myself tripping up in the tent where the ground wasn’t flat. Also the trains sounding their horns constantly at all hours, but not the parks fault

Tyckte om What a great little gem of a camping site, the staff were friendly, the amenities were well looked after and clean, the shop/pub on the ground had very reasonable prices.
It is a decent size and seemed quite secure, I had no problem with using the electricity to my tent, and the water pressure to the site was imensly powerful.
There is an 11am check out time, I asked them if this was set in stone just in case there was some rain amd i got delayed packing away, they said because it was not busy, it wouldn't be a problem if we did stay past the check out time.
There is an outside table area under cover close to the bar/restaurant it has a log burner in there which is a lovely little touch.
My son enjoyed playing in the park, there was also a bouncy castle there, but was unfortunately deflated due to the rain.

Tyckte inte om To be honest, I couldn't really fault the place, it is close to a train track and you can hear them going past, but it has not put me off the place, and my Autistic boy loved feeding the Pygmy goats, the food was only £1 from the inside shop.

Tyckte om The site was just what we were looking for-spacious and ideal for children, outdoor pub and cafe/ restaurant…good clean toilets/ shower room and washing up station…
wish we had a few more days to explore and enjoy it more.

Tyckte om Great site with everything you need. I was only dipping in for a night on the way and left early but it looked like there was a nice vibe with lots of kids and their relaxed adults enjoying the beautiful autumn evening.

Tyckte inte om The showers could have an update and a shelf or somewhere to put things when you're showering.

Tyckte om What an amazing, AMAZING place. Great place, great atmosphere, great staff... had the best weekend with my family. From the get go, the staff was helpful and friendly. Pitches are well looked after and brilliant sizes. Good value for money too. The site having goats was an extra bonus, along with the birds etc. The small facilities for the kids was an extra, well needed bonus. My highlight was the fact they allowed campfire. To be able to have smores with my kids was the best bit of the whole trip as not every site allows campires. I would recommend this place to everyone! Truly, lovely place. The little shop, well needed bar, hot foot, lovely covered seating area... it ticks all the boxes.

Tyckte inte om My only criticism... and its more because im not a fan of creepy crawlies... even though I love camping... is the amount of cobwebs and insects in the toilet & shower blocks and in the indoor seating area. Partly due to being outside and made of wood etc. But them dusted away would have been better for my peace of mind and my fears 😂
The only other downside *which cant be helped* is how noisy the trains are!

Tyckte om Its a large campsite with lots of space and pitches.Facilities are kept clean. Small animals and aviary add interest. Close to canal so convenient for walks.

Tyckte inte om There are lots of loos but only three showers. The site was quiet when we were there so this wasn't an issue but I imagine it could be in high season.
A busy railway line passes the site so there is quite a lot of noise.
