  • Pet-friendly site on 235 acres of parkland in Northamptonshire
  • Half an hour's drive from Silverstone; Northampton 15 minutes
  • Fishing lakes, bars and restaurants
Activity and fishing centre Billing Aquadrome is just a couple of miles from Great Billing in Northamptonshire and set over 235 acres of green parkland and lakes. With so much to do around its grounds, it's likely that you'll want to stay put here for your entire trip… and if you do desire to speed off somewhere, Silverstone is only half an hour's drive away. The site has fishing lakes of varying sizes and depths where avid anglers can cast off for carp and common mirror carp, catfish, pike, roach, bream, tench and rudd. Bring along your own fishing kit and an up-to-date licence, and buy a fishing ticket from the team if you want to try your luck. Away from the water, the many other facilities include bars and restaurants (yes, plural, plus a beer garden). Just take note that the bar, beer garden and restaurant are all adults-only from 10pm. There is also a seasonal swimming pool on site. And speaking of the essentials, there are takeaways, a supermarket and shops right on site too, as well as picnic areas, Sky Sports and – if you need your barnet tamed after all that activity – a hairdresser's.

Shelduck (area 3) fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Clean facilities, everything easily accessible, close to touring site. Train was fun and lady running it was amazing and so friendly

Disliked Hair dryers in toilets weren't working. Evening entertainment is outside so not great with a 1 year old when its cold. Swimming pool was cold.

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely feedback! We’re really pleased you enjoyed the clean facilities, convenient location and the train ride we’ll be sure to pass your kind comments on to the team, especially the lady who made your journey extra special!

We’ve also taken on board your comments about the hair dryers, pool temperature and outdoor evening entertainment. We appreciate that outdoor entertainment isn’t always ideal with little ones, especially when the weather is chilly.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It’s in our nature to listen, learn and keep improving.

Liked Leaving

Disliked All what everyone else is saying
Not a friendly place at all , doesnt have a nice feeling .Not one person talked to us or said hello .Just came back from a Devon camp and was total opposite.Work vans everywhere and overspiling on other peoples pitches.Rubbish in the lakes.Toilets and showers wasn't cleaned whilst we was there.Swimming pool near impossible to book but only had around 25 people in it .We booked 3 days tp stay as it advertised swimming pool but only got 1 hour in it . Pool was FREEZING cold anyway with most people complaining.
Ordered food and it came cold and other dish had no meat in it when it was ment to so that got sent back .
No welcome pack left for us on arrival.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It’s disappointing to hear that you left Billing Aquadrome feeling this way, particularly as we want our guests to feel welcomed and enjoy their time with us.

I appreciate you sharing your experience with us. I understand that seeing work vehicles around the park and having them overspill onto pitches can be frustrating, particularly when you are trying to enjoy your holiday. Vehicles are permitted on the park, including those used by our maintenance and service teams, but they should always be used and parked considerately and should not obstruct or encroach on guests’ pitches. We are also looking at how we can improve signage and communication around vehicle access to make things clearer for everyone.

Your comments about the litter, toilet and shower facilities and the cleanliness of the lakes have also been noted. Our teams work throughout the day to maintain the park and facilities, but we recognise that there are areas where we need to do better.

We have continued to invest in Billing Aquadrome, including improvements to accommodation, facilities, signage, landscaping and guest areas, alongside ongoing maintenance and refurbishment. We have also introduced new developments and facilities across the park and are continuing to look at further improvements.

Regarding swimming, sessions do need to be booked in advance and availability can become limited during busy periods. I appreciate that only being able to secure one session during a three-day stay, particularly when swimming was something you were looking forward to, would have been disappointing. We have also noted your comments regarding the pool temperature and will share these with the relevant team.

I’m also concerned to hear about your experience with the food. We expect food to be served correctly and at the appropriate temperature, and your comments will be shared with the team so this can be reviewed.

Our welcome information is provided through our pre-arrival communications and Touch Stay guide, which provides information about the park, facilities, activities and what to expect during your stay. I have also noted your comments regarding the welcome pack and will ensure these are shared with the relevant team.

Our message at Meadow Bay is “It’s in our nature”, and for us that means continuing to listen, invest and improve. We know there is still work to do at Billing Aquadrome, and we will continue to push to do better.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience with us.

From the manager: Thank you for sharing your feedback! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the variety of things to do during your stay.

We’re sorry to hear that you noticed rubbish around the park. Our teams work hard throughout the day to keep the park clean and tidy, and we do have bins provided around the park for guests to use. We’d really appreciate it if all our guests could help us by using the bins provided and taking pride in the park during their stay.

We’ll share your feedback with the relevant team as we continue to keep on top of cleanliness across the park.

It’s in our nature to keep our park welcoming and enjoyable for everyone, and we hope to see you again for a cleaner and even more enjoyable visit.

Liked it had lots on offer, the campsite was big, we were close to the toilets, i liked that there was a shop for essentials we may have forgetten and everyone seemed friendly, swimming was free

Disliked all the entertainment was very busy, we did not eat in the venue because there was always a very long queue, the majority of the activities were paid and the swimming pool was small and cold

Field 1 electric grass tent pitch (family)

Liked There wasnt anything I liked about the venue, the only thing we enjoyed was spending time together as a family

Disliked We was camping, the toilet and shower facilities was absolutely disgusting, so dirty, no hot water for showering, it was ice cold, the pool was absolutely freezing to the point I couldnt get in and my children look forward to swim when we go away and they could only handle the pool for 5 minutes, it was dirty. The whole park needs a deep clean. The activities was a massive let down. I made a complaint at reception and nothing changed.. when camping all we ask for is bear essentials like hot water and clean toilet and shower facilities.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m disappointed to hear that your stay did not meet the standards we aim to provide.

We understand that when camping, guests expect the basics to be right, particularly clean toilet and shower facilities and access to hot water. Our teams work throughout the day to clean and replenish the facilities, and your comments regarding the condition of the facilities and water temperature will be shared with the relevant teams for review.

I’m also concerned to hear that you raised your concerns with Reception during your stay and felt that nothing changed. When an issue is reported to our team, we want to ensure it is properly followed up and, where possible, resolved during the guest’s stay.

Regarding the pool, we appreciate your comments about the water temperature and cleanliness. Pool temperatures can be affected by a number of factors, but we understand that this can impact the enjoyment of the facility, particularly for children.

We also recognise your comments regarding the activities and appreciate that these form an important part of the experience for many families. We continually review our facilities and activities to identify where improvements can be made.

One of our messages at Meadow Bay is “It’s in our nature”, and we want our guests to be able to enjoy the natural surroundings of the park. There is also water available to access on the park for guests who wish to enjoy the lakes and surrounding areas.

Your feedback has been shared with the relevant teams, particularly regarding the cleanliness of the facilities, hot water and the response you received when raising concerns during your stay. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know where you feel we fell short.

Shelduck (area 5) electric grass touring pitch

Liked Loads of activities for the kids, decent sized pitches. Plenty of toilets which the staff were trying to keep on top of so cleanliness was ok.

Disliked Electric scooters are a big problem obviously on this site as on numerous occasions we were nearly crashed into by a few individuals riding around recklessly including young children. Do think the site should do something about this rather than just saying there’s a clear ban for them. Dedicating a member of staff to keep on top of this wouldn’t be hard. Also £5 for 1 single swim nappy is completely out of this world so rethinking some of the prices for items they sell would also be a bonus. Apart from all of that it was a nice week

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for sharing your feedback and for the lovely comments about our activities, pitch sizes and toilet facilities. It’s great to hear that you had a nice week overall and noticed the hard work our teams put into keeping the facilities clean and well maintained.

We completely understand your concerns around electric scooters and reckless riding, particularly when young children are involved. Electric scooters are not permitted on the park, and we do have clear signage and park rules in place. Our teams and security do challenge inappropriate use when it is seen, and we’ll make sure your feedback is shared with the relevant team.

Thank you also for your feedback regarding the swim nappy pricing. We’ll pass this on to the relevant team for consideration.

It’s in our nature to listen to our guests and continually look at ways we can make the park safer and more enjoyable for everyone.

We hope to welcome you and your family back for another great stay!

We appreciate you highlighting the different aspects of your stay, including the touring facilities, pitch allocation, activities and entertainment. We understand how disappointing it can be when some facilities are unavailable or don’t operate as expected, and your comments will be shared with the relevant teams.

Shelduck 1 electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The only thing i liked was it was close enough to walk to a decent pub

Disliked The campsite itself was very un kept, the pitches were not up to standard, the electric hook up was falling down so very unstable. The pitch itself had a lot of potholes in it, so when we reversed on to our pitch it was scraping on our exhaust , the bin area was very untidy and the toilets and showers could do with improving

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the campsite and pitch didn’t meet your expectations.

Our teams regularly carry out checks across the pitches and park, and we’ll make sure your feedback is passed on to the relevant team for review.
