What customers say
This is a well-maintained, peaceful site with spacious pitches and friendly, helpful staff. Guests appreciate the clean facilities, on-site shop, and pleasant fishing lake. The location is convenient for exploring the Peak District, with nearby pubs and walks. Some minor issues with uneven pitches and ongoing improvements have been noted, but overall, visitors highly recommend the site and many express a desire to return.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Site was very easy to find. Owners were very helpful. Facilities were very clean. Had a fantastic quiet relaxed stay.
Is currently having work done & if you can see the bigger picture it will be a fantastic site when finished.
Disliked Nothing really to dislike but could do with signs showing where reception & bins are but this may come when the building work is finished.
Had a lovely stay

Lovely welcoming from the owner on…
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Lovely welcoming from the owner on arrival who was very informative. There was some building work going on for which he was very apologetic and had absolutely no impact on or stay. Beautiful pond to walk around with our pooch albeit small. Lovely location . Onsite shop for the basics if needed was a bonus!
Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Lovely little campsite in the country…
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Lovely little campsite in the country side, Belper town not too far away. Shower and toilet facilities clean.

From the manager: Thankyou Shaun it was great to see you on a return visit
Nice site with friendly staff and convenient shop
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Handy shop on site and grounds well kept and tidy.
Disliked The hardstanding, fully serviced pitches were close to a road and also furthest away from the facilities. I saw that work was underway on the site so perhaps this is in hand. The main toilet block would benefit from more male WCs and somewhere to hang your clothes when taking a shower (outside of the actual cubicle).

From the manager: Thankyou for leaving a review, we will look into your suggestions , hope to see you again
Great site
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Lovely quiet site with very friendly owners. Showers/toilets nice and clean and warm. Well equipped shop. We booked for one night and ended up extending to four!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it's a great location.
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Spacious pitches, all inclusive price. Great location with easy access to Derby, Belper, Wirksworth, Ashbourne and Carsington Water.
Fantastic for dogs with open fields to the rear without any livestock.
Great customer service, nothing to much trouble.
Disliked Limited WiFi, only really available at the shop, so be prepared to take your own. Shower cubicles could possibly be bigger, but that's being picky.

From the manager: thankyou for taking the time to leave a great review, it means alot to us
Excellent site with great dog walking available.
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Very friendly staff. On arrival we were greeted and the site details explained fully. As a dog owner, we were informed there were a couple of walking fields which were safe to let the dog off the lead. The showers/toilets look as though they had just been refurbished and were very clean. Washing facilities are undercover and again, very clean. The pitches are a good size and well serviced with electricity and intermittent water stands. There is an on-site shop which sells a bit of everything - food, snacks, toiletries, soft drinks and alcohol.
The location of the site is great for exploring the Peak District and visiting the various towns.
