Electric grass tent pitch
Liked The staff were all really friendly and made you feel welcome which is a really nice feeling.
I would also like to mention how clean the toilet/shower block is! I have camped in many places and I have to say these are up there on top.
Also there was always hot water no matter what time but I think one of the best bits about the block was the shower squeegee this was perfect to make sure no one would slip!
Pitches are nice and big for kids to play on and not batter the tent with a ball.

Liked The staff were absolutely lovely and it’s a really quiet campsite, fishing lakes were excellent and you can catch a lot, would recommend bread for fishing and your guaranteed to catch
Disliked Pitch 12 and wasps! Pitch 12 is under a light and this was on all night and very bright and had trouble sleeping, we were supposed to stay 4 nights but only stayed 3, we also had a nightfall tent and if you don’t have that it will be like sleeping under a floodlight. Huge wasp problem and this wasn’t great at all.

From the manager: Thankyou for leaving a review, nobody has ever complained about that pitch, but would have been happy to move you, to somewhere darker.
Unfortunately the wasps, that are calming down now, has been a problem in derbyshire, the council say its because we have had an early summer and lovely weather
Nice place
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Quite. Everything is there. Great location
Disliked The camping slots are actually not next to the lake the nice view (as the photos show) is in a walking distance.
There were working sites here and there. Not so clean. Hope it’s temporary
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Sorry for any confusion, if you had spoke to us, we may have been able to move you, the camping pitches are not advertised as being next to the fishing.
As explained we are developing one field at the bottom of the site, but this does not interrupt anyones stay.

Liked It was a lovely peaceful site, toilet were clean and everything you could ask for on the site. Staff were friendly and around when needed. This was our 2nd stay and would definitely come back.
Disliked This is not the sites fault but only thing that was disliked they had a outbreak of wasps so we couldnt really do much around by the tent as the wasps were everywhere.
